The Co-op, the mornings are hot

Yep… we’re in Florida in July… don’t try it if you’re from up north…. the blast doors are open wide… buckle up cowboy….

But it’s also hot for me opening up the back door to an brand new landscape, check it out:

7.7.16-17.7.16-27.7.16-3  Yeah man, THIS is the new “back 40″….  I like it.  The growth will keep as much as possible moveable…. bays will not be clogged up and we plan to team up on projects to move the work out while retaining the quality work we’re known for.

Check out the lock on the main door going into the paint building

Paint-shop-lock-1  Dude, that door lock needs some love….  Paint-shop-lock-2  You’de think there was something important in there….. well there is, Cedric’s coach has a home now.. no more moving around to keep the project going… he’s home  Cedric-new-shop-paint-2  Our very important and exciting project is first in at the paint building Cedric-new-shop-paint-1  Stay tuned for more on this one…. #41 off the assembly line, first year 1973…. chilling……  BTW Cedric, here are your fuel tanks cleaned, pressure tested, POR-15 undercoated and ready to go in.

Cedric-tanks  Stay tuned for more……

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

BTW, the Facebook folks are getting a treat seeing the “23d” we built here 5 years or so ago.  It’s a Workhorse LF-72 chassis with a 23′ GMC perched on top!  A Duramax turbo-diesel strapped to an Allison 1000 transmission, front wheel drive, all air ride suspension, all OBDII, akk ABS, 19.5″ Alcoa rims….. a real bad boy and yes, we built that.  Here it is the day it left here

Ken-first-drive-13-big  So anyway, take a look at it today and see what’s up with it.  I think it may be changing hands soo… hey, you may wanna get in on that….

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Anyway, as the sun rises over the back 40, my day starts   Came in this morning to find our Elves have Cal’s roof parts based   Cal-assembly-5  and  cleared 7.7.16-4 … oh boy…

The guys have slowly been making progress on Cal’s coach.  It feels like we’re looking into the operating room, the patient on life support….

Cal-assembly-4  Lemme show you a few things completed.  In the next pic take a look at these……  our new top-to-bottom front slider windows….. Our unique hood holdup kit,  stainless steel hood hinges…. Ragusa cast aluminum mirror brackets…. new side engine vents… a 4 color base/clear finish and there will be more….

Cal-assembly-7

Hey, who says we don’t work on 40 footers!

40-footer  Man, that’s nuts… hey but they need to be fixed and we do that too…

So there ya are, it’s going to be a great… hot…. productive day today.  Man getting into the back building to spread out yet a bit more is awesome.  The paint building will be for more than just paint… the whole shop is made to be flexible space…. no sgtoring things, we want 25,000sf of WORK space.  Watch us grow…. see ya tomorrow….
