The Co-op: ELVIS……. has left the building!

NOW and TODAY seem to be relative terms when you come to a 10 year project.  Yes, this Elvis you are about to see has been 10 years in the making… here and I kinda felt bad doing the fit and finish of a limousine interior like this in 2 years!  Looks like I was the fastest on the project!

So with tail lights blasting the fins, the 57Belair Limo makes it’s way home  57 limo leaving 1These folks had the dream way back and saw it to the end…. guys, that what it takes to have something like this…endurance!  57 limo leaving 5 I don’t see a need to show you all the stuff we put into this baby…. you can rent it in Lake City Florida anytime….. I think it’s “57 Heaven Luxury Tours..Lake City Florida” I think Google will find it.  Anyway, what a blast to build.. doing the interior I got to let my electronics freak flag fly  57 delivery 8

Hey and Larry likes it…..57 limo leaving 3  And that’s good enough for me!  The car will be at the Daytona Turkey Hot Rod Run next weekend… if you go it will be in the Plaza on the main drag A1A.

Yesterday we also had a new arrival, Dave S. came in from the cold country to not only stable his baby in a warm place but we’re installing a Honda EV-6010 and I have the pleasure of refinishing a mac Dash put in some years ago. Dave S coming in 1 Formally owned by one of the long time friends of the GMC community, Laurence G. lovingly built to his taste and enjoyed this first year coach and then turned it over to a new enthusiast who is taking it further.  We know this is a 1973… first year model from the stainless steel plate holding the entry door latch.  This plate adapted the early not used Bargman latch to the Kenworth latch GM settled on… so any coach you see with this feature is a 1973 built model  Dave S coming in 2 So it’s a day of musical chairs in the big house…. new projects coming in, current projects moving to their next phase.  That will happen today… Oh and Dave’s interested in the dash AC/heat retrofit we’re doing on Ruby so it may be a “2fer” here.  Dave has the same Mac Daddy dash I’m putting in Ruby so this will be even MOW FUN!

See ya tomorrow…..
