The Co-op, delivery day started early

Picking up one guy at Red Roof Inn who came in the night, another driving his GMC over to sell we had to check Nic’s dash AC heater box before he came in.  This was a late request after Nic saw the squirrel nest in Chuck’s…  3.1.17 morning 6  Nic said … I just gotta know…! Good news, it was clean and someone had actually renewed the baffle gasket

Nic AC 1  Nic AC 2 so we put his back together just in time to pick him up at the hotel.  The washer pump was dead so while we showed him how to run the awning, maserator, air ride system, etc. the washer got it’s fix and Nic was off to Tampa for a night with his brother.  He’ll be back from his “shake down” so stay tuned on Wednesday.

So what did you do this weekend?  I caught up on sleep but Saturday I got to do something only I wanted to do on Fandango.  We’ve been doing this and that on the coach for a year and a half…. staging each thing to fit together to make the coach complete.  Everything from lug nuts to toilet…. and wayyyy too much in between this weekend the front of the coach all came together.  Picked up some LED Halo headight bulbs, the nose job done, paint blended, front hoods done, grill in, wipers on and then it’s fuss time… and here it is Bill finals 23  No powder coated awning yet but also check out what I see are very sleek, tastefull mirrors arms  Bill finals 24  No, they are not electric… those are bigger.  I felt in this application for form should follow it’s function to be a show coach.  These are Ragusa aluminum arms with original truck style stainless steel mirrors.  Hey, “retro” is in!

Anyway, I’m happy all the parts finally went together.  The front nose had to get some plastic surgery but it healed nicely.

Now we have Jim C. who after sitting 2 days waiting for a Landall flat bed to tow because of a rear wheel bearing failure… 3.2.17 morning 2  Take this as a lesson… with a bearing failure like this and investigating the rest of the rear suspension,it’s been some time since any bearing or brake work had been done…. He’s getting all 4 wheels and brakes rebuilt…. new cheel cylinders, hardware kits, the shoes are cheap, drums turned, inner and outer bearings and inner seals…. and a new spindle, castle nut and washer…..  All of it brother!  Then we’ll gravity bleed the entire brake system to see what we have.  Guys I know that is a bunch… there are 4 wheels back there and each one rolls the same amount.  fix one and lay odds on which one is next.  Fix it all… close your eyes and write the check… at least you won’t be sitting on the side of the road for THIS mess again!!  It’s what you do!

  Spring-kit-3  Spring-kit-4

OK, Nic bugged out for Tampa and I didn’t get a pic… he’ll be back Wednesday so I’ll get some pics then… and a fresh drive report.  See ya later….
