The Co-op: Another day…week in the neighborhood

Look, lets back in easy to this week, it’s going to be huge so I want to pace myself here and in the shop.  Many wonderful things can happen and it’s exciting for me.

Another new project will be kicked off soon.  I feel one of the major holdbacks to more getting involved in a 40 year old good looking machine to have fun with is what “unexpected” things will happen that will cost me more than I thought?  Am I right?  If you knew to get one of these the steps and the expense to expect…. you could put a number on your investment in having fun with one of the…right?

OK then lets do one… from soup to nuts…… a descent running “survivor”, not looking to go crzy but to get a vintage, period somewhat style and reliable enough to go on the road and be reliable and maintainable.  Here is the coach we are starting with  2.8.17 Palm Beach 1

Hey Spacely this is the project I wanna make another page on….Spacley and his wife help me set up pages on my site.  hey…we get by here with a little help from our friends…right?

So how about this for backing in easily to the week…see that, I’m already cranked up…….. I’ll mellow back later but this project came together this weekend on the phone.  After many hours on the phone with an enthusiastic person interested in having a period GMC for his family we struck this project up.  This coach I have described as “frightfully original”.  Not in perfect form but still having that unmistakable Palm Beach “beautiful pea green” feel and look.  This is a very real and fun part of this business….sure I can do metallic, solid surface and laminate floors and walls but there is also a lagic desire for a true “restomod” that looks like they always have but has what it takes……

Stand by …a couple of coaches owners came in last night and couldn’t wait to come in…I’ll get back to this and more during the day……..be right back……
