Spacely’s frame fix

We’ll talk about the weather that won’t but first a little work… I know Sacely has been hitting refresh all night in hopes to see what Hank did to his frame so lets let him down:

Go back a day or so if you aqren’t up on this project, quickly Spacely had picked up a good looking 23′ coach and checking the ladder rails of the frame he felt it was good to go.  There was another place to look but what he saw looked so good it became his.  Still not a deal killer but there was some rust through on his front frame clip.  Go back and take a look at what we started with… this is the happy ending to the story…

So after finding this under Spacely’s battery Spacely-15  Hank took a rear clip section  Spacely-18 and fabricating the bends in the front section where the rust through was Spacely-11 then went about welding it in place…. thris is where we are wit the story so lets go further…. Hanks is a pretty snappy welder, it may not be a complete row of dimes but it’s good penetration and certainly stout enough.  Here are some pics of molding the patch:

Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the weather, Authur will POR-15 our repair area to protect the fix then hank will put the passenger knuckle back in… BTW, your lower ball joint seems OK…  Here are pics of the fix:

Itl get pretty next…

So now to Tropical Storm Erika…..  The shop is ready, I’m sure James will show me how to stitch this together but until that epifina, we’ll have to …old school… cut-n-paste these pics together to see the hunkerup in the lot.

After the cleanup we had liquid refreshment at the Hurricane party, even Shirley ventured out back for the party even though she doesn’t embibe. 2015-Erika-party-1  Spacely is out of the air sporting his renewed front frame now holding my lift down with Hank’s “SOB” covered with a tarp like all of those things should be… 2015-Erika-party-7

Came in this morning to plunk here…. wait, I don’t have that excuse to come to the shop….. well, my hard drive holding my pics were there hey… that’s it.  Reality is I’m just familiar with the surroundings to pit this together.  I blew out the speakers in my Suzuki so I’ll replace those… basically just getting my shop fix for the day.  I too need this.  Thanks for coming by, we’ll see ya later.

BTW, thanks so much for the Emails about stories about Twinkles, it is appreciated…
