A lost art and the missing link to tire performance
We “true” tires here at the Co-op. Why and what is that? For a GMC with it’s tandem rear suspension has a unique problem of the rear wheels “talking” to each other, this means if say your far rear driver side wheel bumps “up” through the air bag suspension it will force the middle driver side wheel “down”. This back and forth of pressures sets up an oscillating vibration between 55 and 65 MPH. You can feel this in the coach and not only is it annoying it is also additional tire friction which we all know creates more heat build up in the tires.
Below is an article written a couple of years ago about the truing and static balancing process we offer for the GMC, take a read if you like:
As you can see, this is a very important and effective process for our classic coach. If you are interested in this service, call and set an appointment, we can usually do this service in a couple of hours while you wait.
