OK, so the reason my pic on the phone is upside down is an easy one. I’m left handed! Yes, just like a screw gun, scissors or anyother tool made for the right handed world, I do them all upside down and backwards. See, you knew I had a problem… I’m basakwards!!! And all this time we thought is was a joke… seems like the name of a serious affliction…. Basakwards syndrome…. no pill for this one!
Coming up to the shop this morning at dawn, again Kevin beat me in. Here he is in his cocoon working away He’s scraping to 40 years of krud out of Ron K. top side rails
At the same time he’s pulling away a little on Ron’s coach to do the repairs on Matt’s new LP door
Matt’s last trip something happened and his generator door cracked. You can see it cracked with clear packing tape on it hilding things together. In the background is a new old stock door. Kevin has it sanded, primed and based on the back side
Also on the table you can see Kevin repairing Ron K. original plastic T skirts getting them ready for new paint. In these hot, wet Florida summer “dog days” it’s clear in the morning. Kevin is most always first here to take advantage of the weather then knocks off early when the rains come… you can’t throw paint, body filler, primes heck you can’t even sand without globbing up the paper so Kevin comes in early and packes it in early…. smart man!
Here’s another project you may have not seen in a while. Bill D. coach is pulled out to get it in place for Arthur and Hank to build it’s interior now Check out the reskinned aluminum rear sides to get rid of the bedroom windows on both sides
For lack of a better name of what we’re building… it will be a mobile Man cave. Bill and his trusty companion will travel the country in the coach working as a prodrammer and enjoying the mobile lifestyle in his custom machine.
We’re finisjhing up a couple of projects which will free up some labor for this project… stay tuned….
You kow that big rain we got last week? Well, it hit Shirley in the office…. the roof leaked all over the company main computer.. not mine… got everything wet so her and Carol have a strained working environment until we can get the place back together so give her your condolences when you call…
While I was in the office snapping pics, last week a thread on Facebook was talking about some old window decals a guy found in his Dad’s I think coach. Question was how to display them… How bout the idea you had putting them on a piece of plexiglass and setting them in your back window when travelling. You mean plexi panels like this? You mean like the 2 panels I made from old window stickers?
One last one for the day, you guys on facebook have been following the exploits of Chris R. about his families vacation in their “new” mechanically sound GMC After making a shakedown run to the key, Chris and family came in for some adjustments and to dump. Here’s Chis as his coach squats over the hole!
From here they took off to Texas where you picked them up on Facebook.
Now back in the Netherlands… yes, this coach will be shipped overseas after a few more issues resolved. We got them to the plane on time, leaving the coach for a December crossing we hope. Stay tuned for more on this…
Gotta go, everyone is here & I still need to spend more time on the web site getting everything loaded back in. Thanks for dropping by….
BTW you morning guys, keep up the good work, looks like we’re still hovering @ 500 daily pose hits before 10am… thanks guys
