GMC we have a danger within our community (page 2)

On with this discussion, with increased exposure the next generation of RV enthusiasts are starting to understand how adaptable and serviceable these vintage machines are.  This is great and talking about full time campers, I’m excited to help their make their dreams come true.  Knowing how folks here about us and the work we do, I befriended a visible full time camper  in the community and helped him acquire a suitable GMC motorhome.  It was purchased from a very honest and up front representative of major appliances for the RV community.  Someone who has built their name on integrity.  The coach was a GM floorplan coach for $9000.  True there can be bought ones for less but also much more.  The important thing about this motorhome is it had been cared for so there would be less “surprises”.

The cash for this purchase came from a donor to this person, trying to help him do his work for the community I would still call that a pretty generous offer.  It is an offer to the You Tube channel to do more good work.  It was not what you would call money for free.  The donor wished to help.

Based on this person supporting the GMC community at large and my company as it’s seems fit, to make the coach viable for an unmechanical owner, I felt it Important that he goes on the road with the best possible vehicle especially if he were to be an emissary for us and the community.  I took the liberty of adding more work to the coach myself investing some $8000 into getting the person out on the road and enjoy their first actual motorhome.

That may sound silly on my part but I want to believe and want to help the community as well as anyone that will support us and the community.

This person was going to help us with our web site being web savy, what actually happened was he drove off with our password file.  Our web site was at risk, we did not have our important user names and passwords.  We were then forced to contact our service providers and change all passwords.   Communicating with this person, it took us over a month to get the file back with still missing was a thumb drive with a slew of proprietary pics.

Not only was this person downing the work he got for free, he took important property from us and do you think he reciprocated supporting us…. heck no in fact to certain people who called me he down right disparaged us!

Where are we now?  I in good faith added value to his purchased motorhome but got nothing in return.  Is this fair?  I have requested countless times for this person to contact me and discuss the situation with no response.  We all must support eachother if we are to survive while this person seems to be only thinking of himself.  In the upcoming days, I am prepared to publish the invoice of the work performed on his coach for you to understand for yourself how much this person has leached off of me, talking bad about his motorhome and everyone who has touched it.  This is not the person we need to support…. he’s not supporting us.

When you see the invoices which total almost $12,000 with him only offering $5500.00 with me offering him the balance for his good will….. you tell me if I got a fair deal!

That’s right, I have not as yet used his name, I am still hoping he understands more of what he did and contacts me to straighten things out.  As yet he has not.  Oh yea, on top of that, without my permission he used the home address of my Mother for him to get work.  Not only is that immoral, not up and straight but it’s also illegal.

Guys, if you are going to go full time on the road, you MUST get with a mail service as your address.  You cannot steal an address and hope no one finds out or cares.  I have found this out and I do care.

If I get a continued no response from this person I am not only prepared to name him and his YouTube site but also publish the invoice of the work I did for him to prove I gave and he took.

Now, if you know this person and you are a full time RVer, you know that fake “E begging” is not something that  a fanatic should do.   We all are nomads, we all seek to be free but you should not at the expense of others.  This happened a couple of months ago, I’ve since then tried my best to understand what happened but without any communication I have to say I may need to handle it here with you guys.   We do not need leaches on our classic motorhome or our community.  You ful timers are more than welcome to our community but do not think we are asleep and don’t take advantage of our good nature.

OK, lets see if I get a call, if not we go farther.  Sorry to bring all of you into this but you need to know

See you tomorrow….

It’s disgraceful and these people erode what little faith in humanity that we have left.

Sounds like you gave a gift from your heart and now want repayment. I always say, never loan what you can’t give away, and never give what you can afford to lose. If it was a gift of good will, what’s the problem?

Tbh, something like this should be taken up in small claims court, i can understand venting on a public space, but all your asking is for a mob of gmc owners to take revenge or feel sorry for something that happens in the business place, there should be extra measures taken to avoid things like these from happening …
