GMC Motorhome, solid surface countertops

Of course we put in solid surface counters to go with the vacuum form interior.  This is a product brand Avonite.  It’s basically bowling ball material, if you want huge gold flakes like your ball, the countertops can match!  In this case, Willie & Nancy are going subdued with a complimenting off white Avonite  white-countertop-4  The overhead cabinets up we have the doors and drawers being produced so stay tuned…  white-countertop-2

Yep, the washer/drier is in too…

Andy T. and his son flew in from Switzerland to take a look at their new toy  andy-here-1  I think he was happy with his purchase  andy-here-2   A snow boarded in the Swiss Alps, Andy made a great deal for an awesome machine…. A new “Mac Daddy” dash, a quad bag system and a good looker they’re gonna have fun with this thing!

Off to breakfast… be right back….

Trued Bill’s new American Eagle rims and tires, the weekend.  2016-truing-9  If you’ve never seen this.. it’s sort of a tire lathe…. you would use a lathe to make a perfectly round table leg… this machine does it for tires.  The tire spins up on an axle, the cutter wheels spins and shaves the tire to perfect round where there will be less friction, tire wear, tire heat AND a really smooth ride.  2016-truing-10  Then when you have a perfectly round rim/tire assembly balancing the tire by gravity makes for a perfectly true and balances assembly  2016-truing-13.  So now, with the tires on, flares, bumpers and bumper fills in, Bill’s 23 is now on the ground to stay..  bill-finals-9  bill-finals-10  Now for the final touches…

OK, the day is on, gotta go…

Oh, BTW for the Sunshine Statesmen Club members, Janie made me take a weekend off so we’ll be at the Christmas rally in Kissimmee, hope to see all of you there.

It’s been a long struggle to get a little time off with all of the hard changes we’ve had to make around here.  I’ve neglected my attendance at the club…. I hope from now on we’ll have more time.

There has to be a tight team which is what we’ve been putting together.  Our new facility and processes are light years from when it took sooo long to get work out.  No rushing quality it’s true but through organization you can get more efficient and cost effective.  No “lone rangers”, we’re a team now and quality is the outcome of all of this.  If you haven’t been to see our shop lately… you should.

Thanks again for the visit,  see ya tomorrow….. .
