GMC motorhome, Scotts roof final

Everything in time and in order, Now that Scott’s roof has color, it has to be resealed and assembled.  You have seen in past posts hoe the rails were taken off for the refinish, painted separately then reinstalled with at super flexible sealant 5.4.16-morning-9 Now we’re reinstalling the Carrier AC units that had been removed to get a good, slick finish on the roof Scoot-new-roof-15.  Then the refinished plumbing stacks, LED clearance lights, etc. are all sealed and installed Scoot-new-roof-14  And there it is, a 15 year old paint job with a freshly painted roof.  Man, Scott keeps his coach nice  Scoot-new-roof-11  Oh yea and this pic is before we wash and buff out everything.  I’ll do pics on that for you.  So here’s the thing, the better you maintain… and maintaining can have everything to do with keeping the cosmetics up as well.  You KNOW you get better mileage with a clean car……  well at least you feel like it does, hey your enjoyment gauge was pegged!

On with the morning fun, we’re finally starting to take over out outbuildings to end up being our exterior and mechanical areas.  I can’t kick the tenants, they’ve had a thriving paint shop over 8 years in the building  shop-lift-2016-5  We’ve taken over the building from Miss Piggy there on the right to our main building shop-lift-2016-4So removing the dead palm tree, the old fencing and grading out the back… of course creating a muddhole when it rains it seems we also have a flowing river in front of the building shop-lift-2016-1  You can see we have the lift moved and back in 2006 when I left this property we had the lift in the same place… right… so why is the asphalt “ditch” in front of the building causes a problem pulling a coach onto the lift!!!!  Hey, what’s THIS about?  shop-lift-2016-3  Willie and Nancies coach is huddled there under the sanding awning on the high ground.  Looks like we’ll be pulling out our civil engineer hats.  Stay tuned for that fun.

Listen, thanks for being a part of our fun around here.  My morning walk through the shop is exciting watching us grow.  Hey, growing pains for sure, everything is changing along with trying to keep the work flow going.  We’re bring in new people, new processes and  more potential.  It’s all a pile of work….  we will get there, just between here and there will … well be fun!  Yes, fun….. what else are you gonna do sit there and do nothing?  Grow or fall back and brother we’re growing.  Again, thanks for stopping by and being a part in watching how things are.  Thanks for the Email support and support you give us at rallies.  Our restorations are our best salesmen.  If you want to have a future with your classic GMC…. come with us.  See ya later….
