GMC Motorhome: Ruby’s dash again and more

Yes again, this project has taken on a life of it’s own and with 3 coaches already lined up I want to get this done.  If you’ve been following this project……. using our patterns here is the cut made in the firewall that will allow our unit to work out 12.7.17 morning 7as we hoped in our design, there is some interior trimming to work out today but we can see it working.  12.7.17 morning 8  I’ll have it in the hole today…..stay tuned…..

Now for the + of today….. Luis coach is on the lift… can you see what we’re doing?  12.7.17 morning 5  Yep, his tranny is out 12.7.17 morning 2  Along with updating his new purchase to countermeasures and renewing critical systems…. you can see their quad bag system…… the tranny was giving signs driving down from New York.  Still hitting all 3, if we are increasing reliability the tranny is barking to be let out  12.7.17 morning 4  With it’s Ragusa aluminum pan you can tell it’s been cherished and maintained well…. hey but it’s time!

I love it when timing works out… got in our new order of custom torque converters yesterday.  12.7.17 morning 6  These are unique converters made for our coaches.  Allison style, double row needle bearing, brazed fins, low stall.  Not your average, everyday converter you will not find these on the shelf!  $200 plus shipping and a core.  If you’re looking to have a tranny rebuild give me a call.

Our ambulance remount is getting going.  The box is about ready to come off.  The breakdown and body prep is also coming together 12.7.17 morning 1  Do ya know what you call one of these chassis with the box taken off?  “Red Neck Hot Rod”…. a dually diesel with no bed….YeeeHaaaa!  Stay tuned…….

hey, I know… lets put a 76 Merceded 450SL on it!  Mercedes-recover-7  lets see…..

Oh this is so much fun!  See ya tomorrow…….
