GMC Motorhome: Ruby’s dash AC/heat system is in

I can never get bored of stuff like this, I hope I’m not boring you…….. with our custom AC/heat systems order shows up, It’s taken me a day to get into it.  I look at that as being tested……..  Setting up a lay out table with the homeless tool cart we went in 20171219_084305  First thing out of the box is the new large condenser  20171219_084712All components of the dash AC system will be new……. if we are installing the new serpentine belt system the compressor will be a new style too.  If we use the original belt system we want to keep using the A6 compressor…. Ruby with it’s Hum V diesel has a new GM compressor.  The unique unit is now set up with the defroster plate ducting into the original defroster system, cover box installed with the rear inspection/service plate off  20171219_154750 and here is the system with cover on, ready to plumb and wire  20171219_160615.  Today we’ll seal up, trim out and start wiring and plumbing the system to the motor. As soon as this system is in Ruby I’ll move to Texas Tux…. stay tuned…..

The guys have the 2 post lift closer to operation.  Might be working today!  20171219_071115  The Ford pickup motor here with Holley off is ready to get it’s new FI lungs  20171219_071103 and to prove how quickly the FiTech system can be installed…. here is the motor running with the FI system learning  20171219_102706  30 minutes and the 351 Cleveland Industrial motor was purring like that proverbial kitten!  Such a cool set-up!

I’d like to get an early start on Ruby so lets move on here……. Coming in this morning we have 2 owners hunkered down at the shop…. lets see what that’s all about…… Happens all the time…. see ya later…..
