Though while waiting for lunch to digest I’d throw this one out. Though about doing it on Patreon but it’s not that complicated and it’s just for the few of us who have a up sliding window your door or at the galley.
There were few coaches… mostly late models that had this 2 piece small slider window. There are a few unique issues with this window. First the curve isn’t correct. As you lift the lower glass, it bonds at the top because of the curve of the frame and body wall
Remove the top 3″ of the slider plastic track to allow the glass to move and not bind. Next, being an up/down slider, if it would not stay up it would slam closed. If you have one of these windows you know what I mean. There is a string coming down on the right side of the window
It’s attached to a spring on the top track. it used to be connected to this plastic clip… or what’s left of that clip
Making a mount, replacing the screw this reconnected the lift spring to the glass. With the top of the track out of the way this slider window now works great. I removed the fixed window as part of the rubber replacing process
Reinstalling the fixed glass now, replacing the rubbers and securing the horizontal bar with it’s felt gasket replaced it’s done and now we move to the rest of the coach …. oh and look, the window stays up by itself!
If you want to do this job, give me a call… we can supply you all the parts…
