MoHo is among us
“MoHo” is a 1974 23′ Original colors restomod that truly the look. Coming in on a flat bed from Utah looking well… she needed a little love
Lets just say she was rough… the front end needed a little facial reconstruction
How did we do
Anyway, thanks Ron K. for a real challenge. Yesterday we started the final prep for delivery. Ron is flying in Thursday to drive MoHo home.
Lemme tell you a little about this project. First as always it was the mechanicals and MoHo has everything… quad bag rear suspension, Manny trans with a diff change, our roller cam motor, Manny’s 1 ton front suspension, Alcoa LTS rims… very rare… Out new driver/pass. slider windows, our new design bumpers, Ramcos, American windshields, new wipers….. I mean this thing is nice .
The inside sports one of Mac’s “Mac Daddy” kits and a completely refinished dash compartment
Hey, look at that…. a month or so ago, Janie & I were taking a few days off in Gatlingurg… Janie signed us up for a ghost tour through the city… you know who died.. who was hung and all that. They said ghosts emit some light that human eyes don’t see but cameras pic it up. Hey.. is that a ghost in my pic? Hey… and who WAS that on the grassy knoll anyway?
Moving on, but the rest of the interior is to be finished off by Ron himself. We have a basic frig cabinet built with the 2 way frig installed and prewiring for LP and some AC and 12vdc. There’s that pesky ghost again. You can see our new “Electro-Power Level” air ride system…. 4 solenoids, a compressor and tank… manual valves for…. well manual operation and solenoid controlled Auto. It’s something we came up with for a more reliable, easy to maintain and new air ride system.
This control panel was our prototype. We no longer use an original auto switch but the concept is the same… manual paddle air valves for manual control… a switch to put the system into auto…. a complete system on/off switch and a dual needle air pressure gauge so you can monitor bag pressure while driving.
This was an early breadboard set up of the system. Sorry, we don’t offer this system as a kit but we will do a really nice install on it here. Cost with materials and labor is @ $1500 depending………. On this mod, it’s something we do as additional countermeasures.
Back to MoHo, Almost hate to see him leave, it has been such an attraction when folks come to see the shop. It’s been a blast putting MoHo together… I’m sure he will be well enjoyed and loved. Thanks Ron, for the chance to build such a machine….. Gotta go, the day is on. I wanted to show you one more pic… I call this a “money shot” cause it took a pile to make this look tomorrow I’ll show you more about this project but for now take a look at this
. Frig at an angle to open up the galley floor, vacuum formed original designed woodgrain bulkheads, cabinet door openings in and frig in place…….. now that’s what I’m talkin bout! Stay tuned…..
