GMC Motorhome, Fandango interior

You’re gonna like this but first, before we get into some pretty stuff let me finish up some thoughts about what we learned at the machine shop.

BTW, I am scheduling in a special request over on “Motorhome Rehab Ranch” on the electrical system of the GMC….. this should be an interesting and loooonnnngggg discussion… strap in and pack a lunch!  Check out the site on Patreon.com later today or tomorrow.

So I got a call from Mike saying the 403 motor he’s machining up has cracks in it’s intake manifold.  I thought to my self… great, we’re talking about this….. so I picked another intake from our vast boneyard of spares and hot footed right over there.  Here is the inside crack that most of out intake develop… just a little bigger  full-mechanicals-a.Note the additional crack shown up by the magnaflux dust.  Then on the bottom of the intake are the kisses of death  full-mechanicals-b  That’s done brother…. it’s actually amazing, this motor brought it’s load down from Georgia…. gave it’s last full measure… musta known it was coming here

Anyway I thumped a plumb mellon from the bone yard so this will only put is a day behine.  Monday we will be seeing the completed machine work with the pile going to Drew Koba for assembly… and then to us for a run in…. woooo baby stay tuned…..

And we got back the intake from the Pickle…. it also had a crack but we’ll overcome that with stainless steel blockoff plates.. we’ve had 100% success with this cleaning, Magnaflux check and Stainless Steel plate process.  full-mechanicals-c  OK, on to some interior stuff.  Yesterday I texted a couple of pics of this to Bill, I wanted him to see these right away.  This morning I wanted to share with you them and a couple of comments.  We got in Fandango’s CNC cut, vacuum formed door and drawer set full-mechanicals-d

OK, here is some pretty stuff….. Got in the CNC cut, vacuum formed drawer and door fronts for Fandango.  I texted the pics to Bill right away so this morning I’d like to share them with you with a few comments… bill-interior-2  We settled on a routed 3 horizontal line decoration on the overheads.  Here they are installed  bill-interior-1

and here’s a shot from the front step shooting back  bill-interior-5  Will look better with the bathroom vanity door on but I think ya get the picture  bill-interior-1 in aqua or red… lights offfandango-lights-2

or onfandango-lights-4

and there’s and color including blue or any color…. in solid, flash, fade or strobe…WITH YOUR REMOTE!!!!  fandango-lights-1

That’s crazy man!  OK, starting to get long… I’m outa here…. have a great New Years…. watch us over on Patreon “Motorhome Rehab Ranch” and we’ll see ya next year
