GMC Motorhome, diesel generator

After showing progress on the install of the marine diesel generator into an Explorer GMC II fitted with the 6.5 GM Hum V turbo diesel….. I wanted to say a few other things.  The good stuff will come soon….

Our struggle at breaking through the glass ceiling all specialty automotive restorations shops seem to have….. The flow of the work in the main shop is complete for now.  7.26.16 morning 1  Open spaces, our fork lift can access any area in the building.  We can step back and see our progress and challenges.  The other coaches are over in paint and mechanical getting their process work done but the assembly area is where it should be.  At least I’ve always wanted a work area such as this and now we have it.  We’ll see but surroundings can make you more effective…. OK, lets see…

Example…. progress on Cal’s assembly is doing well, if you look carefully at that last pic you will see Cal’s wiper arms drying hanging on the mobile “OSHA” step ladder.  Cal finals 34  Cal feels the look of the coach is so complete and balanced we’re not installing those wheel flare surrounds.  As you can see, there’s not much to put back into the coach…. floor goes in today … see how nice it is to work in these conditions…

Truly this I feel puts us ontpo the next level of quality, creativity and completeness.

Speaking of creativity  …. we’re now fitting the Next Generation Power, Kubota marine diesel generator into our first out the door Hum V GM turbo diesel coach diesel generator 2   Now back at the troll box, we find there will need to be mods for the unit to pull out  diesel generator 6 being @ 4″ taller, we’re going down with the coach frame… boxing it back diesel generator 5Couldn’t do it without our Plasma cutter and mig welder but looking at progress this morning I see that Our man Phillip got-r-done  diesel generator 3.Easier to see the box mod to clear space to pull out the generator from the underside diesel generator 1  The slide plate will go in today and maybe the generator… we’ll see.

So sorry bout missing yesterday, I’ve found mornings for me is an important time…. I enjoy showing off our new Co-op and the progress we’re having.  If you would like to have your coach in our process… give me a call, it may surprise you to the cost and fun of just having it done now!  So you can use it right away…. it’s what we do and I pretty much bet ya it can be done faster and better here than in a dirty, messy shop or your house working in between the car and jet skis…..  Having someone do this work for you is not a luxury if fact it may cost you less … I mean if if it’s expensive to do it once and learn, it costd more to do it again now that you figured it out more.  Time is money…. how many more weekends do you have left……  Get on at the fun part…… .

Jim, I bought the “Engine of Mischief” that your company renovated back in 2002 from Sarah and Evan Robinson. We are currently taking care of all the mechanical issues and replacing deteriorated rubber hoses, cleaning out fuel tanks and etc.

We plan to drive this coach to the rally in Coos Bay, OR in October.

As you might imagine the vinyl graphics on the exterior has deteriorated and needs replacement. Do you recall where you bought the graphics and would they be able to be reproduced?

    Thank you,

Mark Elmer, Eagle Mountain, UT (801) 367-3432
