Co-op 2.0 is now just “The Co-op”

You know that is you have it so good after a while it gets common and you are now caught up in where you are…. well I have to say walking back over to the old shop to try and find something I know was… somewhere it’s almost like an old dream… seeing places there that we worked so hard to keep vital so we could work another day now looking like a collapsed balloon not really good for much of anything.  Man, we pushed that facility past it’s capacity and beyond!  No wonder it was a struggle just to keep all those plates spinning!

We now have so many all pulling in one direction it takes me back a bit.  No more digging through a stack of boxes to find the new door lock pin or a pair of retrofit 4×10″ bedroom speakers.  Man, it’s all on a shelf and I know where it all is!!!!  Yep, I don’t see us any longer as a 2.0 launch of something new and improved.  Man The Co-op is here and kicking collective butt.

Everytime I start plunking this it sounds like some acceptance speech but this is not the end game, oh no the fun has just begun.  And I do truly appreciate every friend we have made along the way, it all really did put us to where we are but NOW… ah now,  we can move forward from here and refine our mission statement.  Sounds pretty altruistic and all that yea but I don’t know but if I would have picked the most lucrative business to get involved with I would have been a fool to do this!  The CPA says you must be THE most effective and efficient widged maker…. if that were true we would all be eating Krystal burgers and drinking Coke.  No, there has to be consideration for some of the finer things in life that make it worth living and for a select group of the population this toy fits in really well.

And there are many reasons folks gravitate toward vintage machines such as this.  Some see it as their object of their frustrations…. I did that with messing with old cars, I mean after 5 days of selling stereo equipment that had to be a deprogramming.  No matter how traumatic the start-up would be there had to be a release and the brothers out there doing that you have made a good choice.  Every drop of sweat you drop on the floor of your coach goes to good things for you directly.   No more being too scared to wind the Hemi up and pop the clutch…… you bought and worked your motorhome to wind up and run.  You installed true calibrated gauges because you wanted to be able to watch things as the hours went on.  You put piles of gauges in your street racer to be cool!  A real race car has a tach, a water temp gauge and a big red button if you encounter a smoke test!  Those are what sevices you and all the time and money you put into your motorhome is to service you.  OK, putting a 3000 grit paint job on a GMC is a little cause you want it but in the end it will be something more than to just sit in your lawn chair at the car show and hope a bird doesn’t crap on it or some kid scratches it.   Those days are gone for me, I wanna get something for my hard work other than a pretty car.

See you have all that and more with a GMC.  For those that could care less bout all that but want a custom, unique travel machine… heck that IS the eventual outcome of doing the same work!  That’s really the neat thing about this business, we are building dreams you can actually live in!

I got a bit of a cold yesterday so with our awesome webmaster getting jiggy with rebuilding our web sit…. look around….. I’m going to spend time today working on the keyboard.  I have some exciting pics for Cedric and Tim S.,  the guys finished off a headliner yesterday and holy crap we have another limo to work over!  Pretty soon this may take all day to just show what’s going on around here!  And I’m just the plunker that can report all that. Counting my thumbs I’m up to 5 finger flying through space at that lap top!  My typing teacher.. never could figure that out…. would pass out watching how I post!  Hey, we work with our afflictions….

Have some new.. as of yesterday… owners here that I’m going to have a 1/2 order of biscuits-n-gravy with.  There getting the air ride operation class.  Those that have done this before know what that’s all about.  I’ll get back on the keyboard with some pics and neat stuff a little later.  Go over and hug whoever made the coffee for you and go ahead and have breakfast.  I’ll be back a little later… Cosmic Krystals .
