You know this is the Co-op, thanks for dropping by:……

……….So for the FiTechers, wanna-have and why do I want that……. Let’s talk about a couple of things.

It is but having one of these on your coach is cool but that’s not why we got involved in fuel injection, it’s more about a fuel delivery system that’s designed to effectively with the fuel formulations today.  Not just Ethanol, gasoline today mimicks diesel.  It doesn’t evaporate like it used to.  The advancement that made diesel a viable fuel is pressure, at ambient air pressure gasoline does not atomized (mix) with air to the optimal 14.1 air/fuel ratio.  This is why these fuels today need to be pressurized like diesel to be mixed up via an injector at those hi atmospheric pressure.  Did that make sense?

And today’s new technologies the learning, active fi systems do it for less money and easier to use.  I personally and over the decades have had good results with a carb but one drive with these new systems I have to be live you too will be a convert.  It will happen sooner or later, it’s just inevitable.  Fuels today don’t burn well at ambient air pressure……ok, enough of that.

an interesting pic, this is looking up from under this coach up on our lift with no floor and it’s frame painted with POR-15.  It’s a rust killer/hard coating for older metals.  Rust is a cancer that attacks our steel frames.  This project also will hopefully prove up a new “gusset kit” to better mate the coach frame to hold up the body making your floor less spongy.  It takes the body weight and holds it up at the body rails.  Stay tuned and follow this project…….

Oh look, another Mac-Daddy dash just hatched….. and Lincoln’s Mac-Daddy already got wrapped and is ready to go to work.  We’ve also installed our new in dash AC system in the dash too.  This is the best time to do the AC system in that we’re already in there.  Stay tuned to see both of these projects coming together………See, I still?support us carb-heads….   This is our Teflon lined, braided stainless fuel hose going from the mechanical fuel pump to Mr. Carb.  The big news on this puppy is the 700 degree heat rejecting “pyro shield” protecting the fuel up top in the motor from causing vapor lock for many coaches.  Not a cure-all but like I said, many have found it helpful is heat.  Also you will be replacing that 45 year old bent metal tube going into the carb.  This is right in line with hot air going thru the radiator so you can see how it can help.  And replacing the micro-fractured pipe.  When you bend metal too far it fractures and years of vibration…..well cracks have happened.

Ok, that’s enough for this day………the beat goes on around here, with now 47 coaches on the property with 32 of them ongoing projects I’d say the GMC has captured the imagination of a younger community.  Yep, it’s happened and when we get our motorhome rental program going the beginning of next year things will get popping in that direction, stay tuned.

Gonna be another hot day down here in Covidland…….keep your mask on and your head down…… This too will pass………at some point!  See you tomorrow……….
