Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / You know some dog love to lean against you……. It’s usually no problem because its a sign of affection..right……..

You know some dog love to lean against you……. It’s usually no problem because its a sign of affection..right……..

Until the pooch is 100lbs.I’m pushing pretty hard on her……….she loves it………

here is a “MacDaddy” instrument shell, DA sanded, prepped with primer and blocked smoothnote the black mist is a “guide coat” for the block sand process to really smooth out the surface.  The new Sirum supplied new fiberglass side panels fit really well so after their guide coat block sand Ricky should have a pretty slick dad finish.  Will finish of pretty neat…….  The rest of the work where this dash is being put together is there behind it.

that finished dash shell will be the centerpiece here with the passenger side finished in place.  Guys….. Again these are your toy and far be it from me to tell you how to dribble the ball………but until we can verify and fit the descent looking fiberglass reproduction dash molds recently coming out we’ve found refinishing the forensic pieces of the right side if the dash can yield a good finish when using one of Mac’s dash shell style new dash kits.  You can read more about them at”

www.custominstrumentpanels.com

Tell Mac Hey for me and let him tell you the things he can make for you.  Heck, he’s been doing this longer than I have…..the first coach CLASCO Manufacturing did had one of his dashes.  I’d have him sign the dash…..on the front!

So here’s another coach with the dash in with original side panels that’s a bit further along in our Q….. As soon as the Electricals are finished upand the engine with its FiTech fuel injection is in…….its all in so all that’s left there is the initial programming and set up.  Stay tuned, I’ll try and show you a little more about that.

So this animal should go home soon and the Q will move again…….. As what happens with most things that gain quick popularity……. It’s like I remember a run for the Sony “Walkman” and the Sony “D5” portable 12 volt CD player……… We have been forced to rethink our roll in the community and how we can grow with the rediscovering the GMC Motorhome is experiencing.  First step was to carefully organise the current workload and shape our production to the need.  We have made that commitment so watch starting ….well now?but our launch date is Jan. 1 on our new organisational plan.  Stay tuned….like here’s another coach with an original dash but it’s motor upgrades are completedoops, wrong pic…. That’s the manual gauge package in the back at the motor in Mutcedes. Not bad cold oil pressure!….a good-n-tight build!…….Ok, hope you get the idea….even this motor is part of our Q, when we get to the coach this motor is for……BOOM…… It can be put in right then.

Yep, it’s working……… Maybe the first quarter of next year we should be able to see light and maybe start taking in projects…..lets see how things go.

See ya later

today’s pose was on the lengthy side.  I cut my “cell phone plunking apparatus”.  No worries though, yellow like green masking tape has therapeutic value……… The backup device next to it got a workout!……..
