Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

Wow, what a freight train going down hill yesterday was!……

……… The guys were all over the shop doing things…… I really think the place runs better without me barking around!   That’s a good thing…….. And while they were doing stuff which I screwed up and didn’t take any pics……ill try and post that stuff later today……..

I came in and went straight to the back and by golly it really was hereThe last time I saw this dash driving in 1995 to the GMCMI convention at the Great Outdoors near Cocoa, the carbon fiber overlay on the dash looked sharpthat was one of the steering wheels we had back then at CLASCO and the vinyl dye on the dash held up pretty well.  Ahhhh, the good ole days……a had a dummy on this Far no Gurnee, “D5W drip” and all thatJason had Arthur and Santos quickly get the aftermarket double rear door parts do David could get started on the body repairs for its next use.  This is the cleanest looking rear door modification I’ve seen.  This will look great on its new project……stay tuned. Our dumpster gets emptied Wednesday morning so if they can unload as much of the interior can get in the box all the betterwish us luck…….as soon as that’s done this puppy will go into mothballs for some future use.  As in the immortal words of Betty Davis “what a dump!”…..but the rear door alone was worth pulling the ole girl in for the harvest……

Another Transmode donor/core….thats now 62 coaches here……somebody shut the gate!!!!!

So lemme get to the shop and I’ll show you more than that pile….it was just the first thing I wanted to see and from there blew thru that Freight Train…….

I’ll try and talk to ya later today….see ya then.
