Of course yesterday blew past like a late freight train. I made a trip out to our machinists new digs to bring him a couple of 455 rods for our next Kryptonite cam 455 roller motor.that’s our block there in the background fresh off Mike”s bore matching. Not some by hand buggered up crosshatch on the 20 over bore
and clean…..Mike is a clean worker doing clean work!
Mike fulfilled the American dream retiring before medicare! Closing the business moving all of his tools….many needing 3 phase power to a really well equipped building next to a pond across the road from Lake Kissimmee…….his dream come true and mine too in that as a hobby he’s still building our very special motors.
Oh, and here’s his tool to punch hole….push a button and it’s punchedresting on the side after its day on the punch, our 455 block is waiting for its line bore…….
. I think that’s here
…….or this one
hey, he’s got it all…..and having the time of his life…..thanks man
Why won’t any motor work in this application? A production built motor may do a descent job pulling an old 4500 lb. Car but pulling 12,000 pounds?…….they will fail, they’re not built to handle that amount of abuse. Yeah….. I know opinions vary on this but we’ve tried….we no longer ship our motors ……..just too many issues on install will effect the outcome. I’m willing to stand behind things we do….but not what someone else does…..if you want our motor come to us.
So we’re putting in a repaired and textured front cap this morning……..stay tuned for this final finish…….
Gotta go…..go take a look ate our new video on an important part of trying to recycle a “survivor” GMC……….SEE YA LATER……….…..
