……… So I hope all of you Ranch Hands have had a chance to see the latest video on the tail lights.
Its thanks to you I put that out and I’d like you to tell all the other Ranch Hands this is a good example of why they’re all here. Yes…. to expose yourself to stuff we’ve figured out by really screwing up coaches over the decades but also the …..shhhhhh….small tip and tricks to do these things!
So this next bit is only for you Ranch Hands…i guess I left the door open so sense your already in…..you can stay.
So now here’s how to install and seal the LED tail light assemble:
So unless someone snitches, how to install this will be something for all of you Ranch Hands. Thank you for your support……
Ok, don’t you hate it when someone says, “it’s simple”? I mean iris difficult for me to cook…..and EVERY cook on TV says….its simple…..everytime they show you something!!!!!!!
…..m were simple I wouldn’t be wasting my time listening to YOU! Maybe sometimes it is and in this case I haven’t felt it important to put much in remembering exactly how to do this…. I hope you will agree. So here’s your legend:
Using 4 self tapping #8 oval head (beveled head) Phillips screw long enough to go thru the lens and take purchase in the original metal plate of the tail lens mount. (don’t remember that #) now, put them thru the lens holes trying to line them up with the original lens holes in the coach. You will find vertical they are a perfect match but horizontally the screw hits just outside the machine thread nut tac welded to the original plate. So NOW……this is why you’re using a self rapper screw. The screws will also cut thru the plastic backplate….don’t make The screws TOO long. The 2 that line up in the threads…. Cut them thru the original machine screw and punch the self rapper screws thru the steel plate on the other side. The screws will line up I think on the inside holes…….maybe the outside (that part I also don’t feel I needed to remember…. ) but you will see it right away.
My guess the designers didn’t want some guy to put next year’s lenses on last year’s van! Fooled You Bert!
Smear and Seal of RTV sealant leaving the “weep hole” at the bottom middle of the lens open.
One last thing, you need a (3 WAY FLASHER) to make it all work. I had too many numbers rolling around in my head when I said that…….
So all of you Ranch Hands let the rest know the secret. And the rest of ya in the room….. let everyone know this is the stuff all of us here want to know. You wanna see more? Help me do that… Get into this, become a Ranch Hand…..Yep, that’s why we’re here and why we do this.
……(Update)…….W…….Wow, as human nature dictates I have half see the point and others didn’t like an implication…….. As Henry Ford once said,” A bump is as good as a knock, someone’s watching”…..so thanks for the comments but as you saw, the information, all of it is free to everyone. The Bergman number I swear isn’t easy to find but a Goggle search will put it in your hands. Hey and isn’t that what you come here for? I can’t wait to see what next week’s videos will be on. See, Monday morning, after Scarlet and I have been reading comments, the first decision on the meeting is what will that weeks videos be………… Some larger videos needing props etc. go on a list to plan but usually we take that weeks comments and see if there’s something we can do. …….Please give us suggestions and really, thanks for the support.
