(UPDATED BELOW) What a perspective Eleganza has on the shop…….

………as we open up for another action packed weekThe guys spent some time the afternoon to clean up and reorganize a bitpart of it is moving to the side 20 years of “rare artifacts” as I’ve looked at them for decades.  Zoom in you can see my side car bike not taking up floor space there in the air on a palate and the bobber pit bike seems to mesh in to Abbey’s safety cage……. I lost a palate by myself of thing that well….dont seem as invaluable as they used to!  Yes it’s springtime at the shop, the blast furnace doors are getting ready to fly open…..we need to get that 2nd 6′ vent fan going soon!

Anyway, with our focus going away from being open for small maintenance without an appointment, the shop will also pivot being set up for “the full monty” on mechanical when coaches enter our Q.  (Btw, I do know the difference in “que”and “Q”…… I just think it’s easier for our brain to identify Q….maybe not but that’s my story)…..So our the Q lines our main focus on mechanical will be front to back literally everything to be renewed.

Scary thought hey…

(UPDATE:)

After starting this project the direction was “just do it” and understanding what they wanted we to that seriously….. At the time it came in we had exploded our scope getting into updating many systems and each time those were added to the project.Today….as it sits this restoration represents so much more than it started our being.  And each addition added to the functionality, reliability and the final finish.  We could not build this coach over 2 1/2 YEARS ago when the project began.

The scary part is every project here has pretty much gone that same wayand I’m not just talking about the motor!Along with this candy apple blue saphire drive train we have powder coated the entire front and rear suspension also candy blue saphire!

Yep, that’s the specification but actually the motor is supposed to have forced induction (turbo or supercharger).  Why?…..because he wants it!

We are here to make those dreams come true.  Involved restorations…..total mechanical updating.  It’s not a matter of what’s bad….its ALL bad!  And that’s what will keep our classic coach alive!

That’s enough of that for one day, I’d like to lay out more of our thoughts…..stay tuned……….
