Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / Video day went well, in the can now we are doing all 4 in the series before release…..

March 2, 2022

Video day went well, in the can now we are doing all 4 in the series before release…..

…..  It’s subject is something important to us all…..stay tuned.

The last Revconeven though Revcon used the 455 Toro drive train complete from Oldsmobilestill, with all the GMC’s that have gathered here the guys just can’t switch gear effectively so as I said…..we can no longer do restoration on thesewhich is a shame …..they ARE neatbut this is something our new business structure can no longer support…..so long…..

The last project is to install a new set of windshieldsthat happens today……and with that done, a fresh carb, a tune up and new tires this Revcon 250 will go home.  The rest of the restoration will be done helping the owner do the rest of the project…. I’ll try and get some pics.

Here’s a coach that’s today getting an alignment and it too will be going home…….yep, the guys are moving thru our “Q”…..FiTech, CVF Racing Serpantine belt, Yukon aluminum radiator with the 2 motor fan box, Semlax combiner, battery switching, steering…suspension, quad bag, Ion rims….dang what else!oh yeah, our in dash AC/Heat upgrade, the CVF kit has the 1 wire, 130amp type 2 alternator and the Sanden rotary AC compressor…..yep and a new distributer, wires, timing chain, water pump….you know, all the stuff….yeah and the aluminum fuel tank too! ..headers, Springfield Ignition silicone filler boots.

Every project in our Q now is getting all of this too…..they ALL need that stuff to be reliable on the road….. All new brakes and wheel bearings too……like I said, the “Full Monty”.

The next project in the Q is one I did a full restoration on almost 20 years ago!  Good to see it back in…with a new owner who also wants “everything”.  Ricky hast the intake off the motor with all the carbon cookies cleaned out…..…… With the valve covers and intake cleaned up and and painted, next Ricky will reinstall all that then pull the old water pump to replace it and the timing chain and all that then the CVF Racing Serpantine belt system goes in….stay tuned.

And goobyye CLASCO twin bed we had for sale here.  I was involved in the build there back in 1995.  A full interior build a tribute to the Royale twin bed, center kitchen floorplan.  We got her mechanically ready for the road with its new owner excited to trim it out……another one takes outa here …..the guys are getting it done!this is how things get squared away!

Ok, so it feels good getting some daily pose seat time in, let’s see how many more in a row I can pump out…..see ya then
