Transmodes………………. What are they and why are they popular…….

………  A was surfing around on Facebook and commented on a thread where folks were talking about the GMC as a commercial vehicle starting life from GM most as an empty white tube on 6 wheels.  A big van, Transmodes were outfitted aftermarket as TV and radio production studios, small shuttle busses, mobile office, EPA superfund test vehicle, ambulance, etc.

Our latest Transmode arrival was a neonatal intensive care transportTh as cut in half coach was a handicapped shuttle bus from the Opalocha airporthere is the rear frame from it being raised with a 6″ second frame on top of the original frameOh yeah, while we’re looking at unusual stuff, above is an early quad bag prototypeq…..you never know what to find inside a Transmode.

Sweet! Like many car enthusiasts, I’ve heard of the GMC Motorhome. But I’ve never seen or heard of the GMC Transmode.
