The New Co-op: (UPDATED) Another road test, probably should have washed it first …..

Been working for a week trying to get out for a run…..the chance came so I took it!

Didn’t want to test drive the paint…… it was the fresh 455 roller cam motor, FiTech fuel injection, 1 wire alternator, Sanden dash AC compressor, monster trans that was aching to go!Check out the lime green Monster gear grinder! K&N cone air cleaner, factory correct colors…yes sir, we have a formidable power plant in this thing.  So lemme finish breakfast and I’ll show ya some stuff….see you in a couple of hours.A.actually, this is the second final road test….the first one went fine, the Honda EV-6010 was working well, the coach woken up after an 8 year sleep, this first 37 mile road test was fine then……..going throttling down to cross these tracks the original motor spun a main bearingonly a couple hundred yards from the shop, at least we saved the crank so from there now this new drive train will be the best or at least a great thing this coach now offers.

So explaining the FiTech readout This screen shows you any selected 4 active readout of like 3 options.  Top left running 30mph we have -14.9 vacuum….anything above 10″ is saving money, bottom left is the air to fuel mix ratio…….14.1 is perfect, this spec varies as you drive.  The top right is duty cycle of the 4 injectors, at 30mph we are using 4.1% of injector capacity and bottom right is battery voltage giving us status of the new designed 1 wire alternator.  Pretty cool having all that on a readout digital display…….we also have some conventional gauges from before that offers additional info…..

Check out oil pressure hot at idleyes sir, that hi volume oil pump with a washer on the spring for also higher pressure, the Milodon large diameter bolt on pickup tube, oil restrictor and a line bored and balancwd rotating assembly makes the difference.  This is NOT a stock motor!More than a machine that runs like stink, 4 bagger, ZipDee awning, trim low profile Linguine roof ACt’s, 16″ Alcoas, the Honda EV-6010 generator, windshield visor, fiberglass bumper inserts and something really wild….the bedroom window lifts to yield hidden outside storage!deep enough, the spare tire was in there…. We put it back on an original tire carrier.

The drive test was a dream, alignment seems great its a 2 finger driveThis is the REAL Florida, flat straight roads, ditches full of water along with various other reptiles and birds…..I love flat, open spaceswe have an issue with the air ride….found it was a broken original plastic air line fitting……get all those black plastic air line fitting OUT of your system!  What can I say, the 37 mile run was a blast proving our Kryptonite cam profile does the job!

…..The interior is no slouch either, still a GM floor plan interior its been updated and kept very wellIRosh theme upholstery in great shapedat/night shades, slatboard flooring….yes sir, this survivor is what you want to find.

Here’s another worthy survivor.and another recent purchaseand we have 2 23′ late model coaches here for saleand this 1this restoration just sold for over $80,000 so yes, folks dig these things! So celebrate your coach and if you’ve always wanted one you had better hurry!  Hey, that pearl white center galley twin bed to the right there is looking for a new forever home too!  And the beat goes on!

A little long today…..just trying to catch up.  See ya tomorrow….
