The New Co-op: A fire hazard GM floorplan coaches have…. Look at this!

In an attempt to keep you coach from going up in smoke, please see about this 2 Ga. cablethis was the 2 Ga. battery cable running across the front frame Crossmember.  Its connected to the left side of the boost solenoid under the passenger front hoodas you can see, the battery kill switch in the pic connected to the right side controls the engine battery.  After 45 years of weathering this wire can have rotted insulation and can short out on its attaching cable clamps.  We used to cover this crosscable with sliced 3/4″ heater hose.

But honestly, if you look at this cable and see bad things, cut it out, shorten it where is goes into the firewall adding a single terminal stud and route a new insulated 2 Ga. cable from there back to the boost solenoid.  I know this doesn’t sound like much of a fire danger….until you look at yours…….if you see what I think you will see your mission will be clear.

Short pose this morning, this week is going to be a killer…..so many things going on…….no descent time to relax this weekend I may be posting spotty, hey its not cause we’re lazy!

Look, thanks for all of your support, we can move mountains with enough support and that’s what it takes with us.  Positive support and belief in others helps us all do our best and something without I simply can’t perform so I thank you for that.  In this tough world, its amazing what can be done with a little kindness …… Please support your friends, they will love U for it……..see ya later
