I hope all of you had as much a relazing, fun Easter holiday that Janie & I had. Sunset over a pile of really neat new smaller new concept travel trailers……Oops, lost that pic but the RV industry is coming up with some creative stuff in these down-sized trailers……….. not for me but hey, there are many neast ways to see the country……. Of course Janie & I are right at home in JayGee SEAT TIME is what I want from my motorhome…you guys come and go….me? I’m still at the shop! I’m an enthusiast at heart with these things and that’s why I do this………..Probably one of the best things in my life other that Janie & my 2 boys but it has also probably been the most financial compromises I’ve ever made…..Hey, it’s all about a good time in the end so keep that in mind…will the last thought you have the size of your bank account?.
Way tooooo deep right now!
So yeah, Monday even Sunday was a blurrrr…… With my right hand Man Jared out on a well deserved week off for an annual family outing….Oh man this week I’ll have to run this place the old fashioned way! Phillip is stepping up to keep the back of the shop from blowing up and I cannot be in this office much this week. Our team effort works well, one man out we all suffer hey, but we’ll survive.
Yesterday was a big day in that Ron……Actually his name I found out this morning is John…….I have to just say I do remember parts of the 60’s! So JOHN is driving in to play with his refreshed baby. Now, we have repowered it with one of our Co-op/ Koba roller cam motors, transmission and FiTech fuel injection. Yeah baby, that honkin 455 big block has an incredible 2 sets of lungs! Last thing to do is give her a wash and check for water leaks John having the super doper looking frameless windows, we can’t put out pressurizing instrument (a big ole squirrel cage blower) so Junior became the steely eyed missle-man for the day rigging it up here Just 1 screw where his finger is and we had mondo-pressure!
First drive report this morning came in all 5’s! Have a loose tranny cooler cable but it looks like that’s it. This rear suspension needed pins badly…you remember the one that the previous owner had installed “true tracks” to offset how bad his bogy pins were….guys, don’t do that! All new brakes…they all had to come off plus a new quad bag system. The rear suspension on this coach is now right!
Another soldier came in off the field of battle yesterday too.
Coming in from somewhere in Georgia she made it to Apopka when the brakes completely locked up…….. She was tryin but just couldn’t make that last hill. Slated for a complete brake, fuel system, a new quad bag system and basically a “get-r-ta-run good edict, stay tuned…you too may need what this coach is getting………
And finally under that “we’re doing this cause we can” concept, Phillip pulled out the new slimmed down Miss Piggy for some prepping for her new job The first new parts are installed…a set of stainless steel headers? Oh yeah baby…hey youall…watch this! Can’t see it in a still pic but after the explaination as to what this will be, John was shaking his head….spoiler alert…….this new chassis will sport THIS GMC body .
. SSHHHHhhhhhhh but stay tuned……..
Sorry for messing with your morning….I was really moovin! …… We’ll be better, see ya tomorrow
