and it’s not the fault of most that use these platforms for positive interaction and to learn about their unique classic motorhome.
(NOTE: there’s good stuff below but please trudge thru this mud first, its important)
But it is because of the few self centered, egotistical, backbiting, insecure, back stabbing jerks that want to blow big smoke up everyones you know what!
Yeah, this may be a bit of a rant this morning and I know that’s not why you came here this….maybe it is but listen, I don’t think I will get any disagreement that the Co-op has tried to further the life and viability of the coach and I’ve tried my best to teach and answer questions for those interested to learn.
I have not quibbled about who you were or how you felt about anything, I have wanted to help. But to those few who can’t seem to support anything or anyone save their personal agenda, to those I say do not call me or look to the co-op for parts or any support of your motorhome. And specifically to those involved in the crude thread on Facebook trying to drag our efforts through the dirt not supporting us….I do not support you anymore so don’t feel so bad!
Be nice or just leave. If you need to buy something and don’t think I am here to help the best we can, that I am not here to help only to sell stuff and make money…..no longer call me! Call Jim K. at Applied, Sirum or anyone else you like but I am no longer unconditionally supporting everyone.
Sounds terrible doesn’t it but why should I spend hours on the phone, Emails, texts, etc. answering questions and directing folks on what to do with issues on their coach when they show they don’t give a Crap about me? I cannot get slapped and turn the other cheek anymore, you wanna be a jerk, don’t call me.
As far as selling major component parts, the unique components we use in our restorations were created just for that, not as much to sell but to enhance our restorations and I think that is where we will focus our efforts. We have stopped sales of all windows except for in house installation. In that the fuel tank we are working with IS still in it’s design and testing phase, we will no longer ship these until we are satisfied. Our 1 wire alternator modification will also only be available in house with us installing these things.
This is a really narrow, low production industry, there is no profit to support the design and manufacture of hi end custom parts, any profit would be in their installation and set up so that is what these products will be used for. Offering them for shipping really has messed up our availability for restorations not to mention our income potential.
From now on, more focus will be put on in house projects saving these parts for our production. If you want any of these products I suggest you get in touch with Jim K. at Applied as soon as possible, he has a few of these parts still in his inventory I supplied him. And just a note, we are also the supplier for the original window rebuild rubbers and felts, If you can find it to support us, we will continue to ship these parts to you and the other GMC parts suppliers. Those other folks, don’t call me, Jim K. might sell you.
Gentlemen, this is a 2 way street, why should I support someone who clearly does not have my best interests in mind. If you want to continue to be a jerk, my suggestion is to sell your coach to a steward who can support the community because you are not welcome here.
My hope is now all of those folks will push “esc.” on their keyboard and leave all of us actual GMC enthusiasts to our enjoyment…goodbye to all of you and please do not come back.
NOW, for the rest of us, I promise to not drag your eyeballs through such trash again, I’m done with those folks and we can go on, I promise my cell phone will stay on and I’ll be happy to help you with anything concerning your coach as I have for 28 years……..
Chris M., the inside of your coach has grown….walls!just as you have seen pics of the interior assembly line when our babies were born, we have removed the rear hatch and are building back in the interior as it was originallythe 1/8″ cabinet grade plywood is cut and fitted 1 panel at a time, next they will be removed and receive their epoxy texture coat finishthen with a Mylar bubble foil insulation back these panels will be installed. The customer wants to have a hand on the interior build so we are only doing the headliner and sidewalls.
Soon I hope Jared will get the dash AC/Heat system installed, its not right to see light thru the firewall
As you can see, the MacDaddy dash has been prewired
So the day is on and the guys are on the job, thanks for your support……that’s the important thing….talk to ya again
