This page was formed to give customers a look at progress on their project and try to give them a feel of how things are going. The rest of you guys are just here for the ride……
To that end, Cedric over in the UK has been very patient while his Ruby goes through the full restoration process. Here’s a fact most all of the folks on the entertainment hot rod channels don’t talk about when it comes to every quality restoration…..I have to tell ya and you can quote me on this that……….we’ve been on this awesome project over 2 years going on 3! Yes, all that Crap on TV showing car restoration project hammered out in a week are some of the biggest fake news I know! There are NO shortcuts to this work….it’s one off, craftwork done 1 thing at a time…….. Very involved! Here’s the nose of Ruby with her new gull wing wiper arms and air suspension lines run are hanging out the Roth side of her driver hood. The LED headlights are here I think so this part of the Ruby project is moving along.I’ve been saving this special option for just the right project and Ruby is the one. Saw one of these on EBay recently for $400…..and Ruby gets itThe real deal, not just the Olds thermometer but the actual GMC version installed just outside the driver window……Ruby had to have this!
We’re hoping to debut Ruby at the upcoming GMCMI convention in Tallahassee Florida next month……hey, no pressure! Come and see if we make it. Just like one of the shows on TV trying to get the Alfaa ready for Pebble Beach……we need to have Ruby ready for Tallahassee!
Moving inside, the Avonite galley countertop with its induction 2 burner cooktop and recessed “Euro” sink is done, those are the upholstered window valences on the counter getting ready to go in
Opting for the smooth, clean look the routed then vacuum formed overhead doors were combined to create this effect…..down the hall as well.So Ruby has her target and were doing our best……stay tuned…….
Tomorrow, we’ll take a look at progress on our EM-50……Stripes coach tribute project……stay tuned.
Ok, gotta go…see ya tomorrow.
