The Co-op: We’re scanning the molds this week

…………..These molds have languished enough rusting away in the Florida sun.  The last 20 years thes3 molds once hand made produced all of the plastic outer body panels of your coach.  240,000 pounds of rusting chrome we now need to do something about.

New technology has caught up with the need to do something with these historic, really big and heavy pieces of our coach’s design.

There’s #20 of 36 molds we will be working with.  Our plan is to pull each mold out (each part has 2 molds)…….clean each mold off.  We have an industrial scanner scheduled to come in and digitally scan each turning each shape into a computer file where there is no weather to degrade the molds…….and no more storage charges!  We hope to preserve these historic molds in the cloud………like I said, technology has finally caught up to us and our need to keep our GMC living.

We will be video documenting the event.  Hopefully in the future these shapes can live again…….  We also have the “build books” documenting the build and assembly GM set up to build our coach.  All this will help keep our coach alive.  Welcome to the 21st century…..things are different now!

We hope to set up a foundation of sorts to hold these historic mold files, want a T-shirt?  Lets make one up for funding this project!  Ok, lemme work on that……thanks to several of you who have already donated to help us get to where we are….thank you and you will have a shirt waiting.

This is a seriously worthwhile endeavour, help us and get involved.  Call and get on the mailing list…..”Save Our Molds”!

Stay tuned here for more on this project and how you too can get involved……

I tell ya it must be part of human nature to correct folks inserting their own reality…. There was a guy on Facebook that couldn’t resist trying to punch a hole in the new idea single wire alternator.  I’d say an attempt to just be heard.   Guys don’t do that………ask questions if you don’t understand something and for gosh sakes don’t show how shallow you seem to be.  Was said the 1 wire alternator won’t work…….said the mod sounded too “complicated”.  The intent of the video was to clearly explain the idea.  Here is the simple rewire of your isolator circuit.  What we have is on the left……..what you change is hilighted on the right

Make sense?  We also add marine sealed battery swiitches to shut off your batteries and combine the engine and living area batteries for safety but you don’t have too….I would though……..  So if you’re interested in upgrading your DC charging system, get a single wire, upgraded alternator!  You can get it from us…….thank you for your support………or most good starter/alternator rebuilders can build this for you…or just call us!

So we got a request to see what the interior of this Airstream we got in.  See, there are folks out there looking for machines like this.  Here is a quick video on the interior of the coach.  Let me know if you enjoy this stuff hey and the guy who asked……here ya go

Tomorrow is “crazy Monday”……scan the molds week…….The EM-50 is getting color and the beat goes on.  Thanks for dropping by, please spread the word on what’s happening with the molds and keep watching…..more stuff is afoot!

See ya later…..
