The Co-op: To everything……..there is a season………(UPDATED)

And with that I say goodbye to my 96 Ultra Classic Electraglide……. Say it ain’t so but today driving on the highway is 85mph………all the 2 Laners I’ve taken for years a 4 lanes with lights.  Heck, the new Amazon warehouse is on “Boggy Creek Road” as its stall named but ain’t no Boggs out HERE anymore!  One of the promises I made because of my addictive compulsive feeling for anything with wheels……I can only play with 7 toys.  7 tags, 7 insurance payments and bundling isn’t enough!  No, the least used toy needs to go to someone that will appreciate it as their main object of frustration and have a love affair with a machine that has withstood the test of time. What an awesome example of past full tilt equipment……..was great to have it in the stable but with the new big dog…… Something had to goand brother the fun has just begin with this pile of bolts!  Yeah, I know….. The muffler needs a second hanger and I’ve gotta do something about those broken reflectors at the headlights…….but making a round trip to the house and back to the shop……it looks like a current keeper.Understand this thing is much more than a mere mortal backwards rat rod…..we can now actually drive complete GMC Motohome drive trains BEFORE spending 30 hours labor to stuff it into the motorhome!  I gotta tell ya that’s huge!  Besides wanting a Rat Rod in the paddock I have the bonus of a unique tool…… A tool with a tag!……..

“Honey Do’s today, probably the lulu before the storm getting all the stuff we’re bringing to the Tallahassee GMCMI convention ready…..like SEMA, we haven’t been to one of these in a while……wait til we show up with some of the stuff WE’VE been working on.See ya tomorrow

(UPDATE)

The point wanted to make is we all need a reason to exist……same for a GMC and when you just don’t get use out of yours know its time to find a new steward.  Its not a failure….you did your job keeping that classic alive.  This is where our “Survivor” coaches come from and what a good owner is looking for when its time to turn over the keys.

How much am I going to get for the bike?  I just want to know it will be well cared for and if someone likes it they will pay what they feel is fair.  That’s fine.  I put the bucks in the bike foe ME!  Not for resale but because I wanted it.  I got it…..HD Dunlop wide whites……blue tooth, original paint…on and on…I’m proud of it so if you would like to own it, respect it and take caring for it seriously……….. If you feel that way about your coach….its natural.  Its not as much about the money…..it shouldn’t be…..it has to be to a point but that’s not what its all about….to me.  So yeah, and the beat goes on.  New things are right around the corner…..see you there
