…………………..Well alrighty then, time marches on as so do our deliveries. Yesterday was a pivotal moment for Project #3. On the lift we’re doing all the things under the coach…………
On the driver side you can see this cool looking scoop the previous owner put on the generator door Well tucked into it’s cage is a fresh Honda EV-6010 water cooled generator
Don’t worry bout the 4010 decal….when this generator was being refurbished Honda had backordered the 6010 sticker…there are 2 breakers on the AC panel which means it’s a 50amp output…….
There’s a hose connected to the front of the FiTech electric fuel pump….that means Kaitlyn has the fuel injection system all but done Hello there FiTech…How ya doin in there?
and if you look hard you can see the new Senyen dash AC compressor and it’s adapter bracket . That scaffold over the engine opening is holding up the motor whel the green Monser…..transmission is being installed
Here’s an important one. The question is not what to do following the “punch list” ….THE MORE IMPORTANT THING IS TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO STOP! Here you can see that. The original starter on this coach was recently replaced but bolted up to that dripping pile of work clutch plates ended up making it look pretty grody………but after cleaning it up, other than the greasy and rusty stains from the old tranny…we had to make a decision and we’re reusing the old starter. Looks bad but really it’s in great shap inside and that’s what counts The green doesn’t clash with the original Olds metallic blue….too much! We will no longer use any original tranny cooler if we are reusing the original radiator……this pic u can see the new tranny cooler, through the front crossmember hole you can see the new dash AC evaporator which connects to 1 of the 3 new Dash AC/heat units we are prototyping
With the new FiTech fuel injection taking up the hole in the intake manifold, poor ole Rochester has no where to go! I think he’s going to be made into a lamp or something. Hey it’s the progress of man right there!
This project represents so many neat things…stay tuned it’s going home soon.
So with a few more rivets…we’ve gone through a bag of 1000 Olympia rivets….. the wedding photo booth flex space comes alive. What do I mean when I say “comes alive”…the side wall of this Airstream trailer has a new trick
Good boy…here’s a dog bisquit, you did your trick
With the inside finished out as you can see,
this machine will also be going home soon. Still needs a floor…….. Hey but that’s not the only Airstream trailer we’re having fun with……. this one is getting a whole new interior
As in all new cabinets, upholstery and refinished walls and ceiling
not a fancy, show look but a very clean, fresh look
Still more to report……hey, you said you wanted to see this stuff…….. What a mess….even the dash AC blower is missing!
We’ve built in a “wall-to-wall” diamond plate battery tray up front for all 3 new batteries and like I said, I’ve got a little wire cleanup project staring back at me
Hey but this is what we do! And Arthur has Marco’s new storage compartment bout trimmed out
So why am I showing you guys all this? Well first, you posted to me you wanted to see more project but also I’m trying to show that we now have so much cranking up that with productivity up more every day things are really getting done….but these critter still take time and “almost” is not “done” and that only happens after the time is put in.
No one here is sitting on their hands in fact all of us are whipped after 4 days of rock-n-roll really from dawn to dusk….heck I’m looking forward to sleeping in ate…..you know 5:30. Still can’t do that sleeping in thing…..not yet. See ya tomorrow……………………..
Arthur’s doing a great job, Jim. So glad to see we’re making a dent in the to-do list.
