………… No really, without holidays where would we be! Its all good and we have to roll with it.
Giving a view out my backdoor, we have some new panels fitted and finished in Rubywwe’re doing soft radius vertical corners doing a tribute to the “GMC II” Explorer Vans coaches restored in the 90’s. A small thing but Ruby will reflect all the stages of the GMC Motorhome experience. Being one of the first 50 reported “prototype” coaches its fitting to represent Explorer. The build supposedly 40 or so coaches before my guess their CPA came in and told them to STOP! Even today, truly going through a 26′ house on wheels takes a mountain of labor…..If you want to do it all right……I have seen good personal restorations but to get the experienced talent to do it all is tough to find…….see that’s what we have here at the Co-op….#### hey, had to throw in at least ONE plug! ##### so nearing the end of the year, were finishing out several projects
One I’m doing myself……we all have our specialties here….is Marco’s dash., I had posted earlier….forgot to save the pics…..we were not doing a Mac dash this time but changing a few things. Here is the wired new bezel completely connected, vacuum line, air gauge and all on its service loop getting ready to go in place…and here is the dash fitted
Sorry for the delay, had to go pick up Arthur. He rides a motorcycle and unless he brought a second change of clothes in a plastic bag….those of us that had to do that remember…….so hey, its Christmas….I picked him up. 2 miles round trip, it wasn’t up hill both ways and he’s already so skinny wetting him down we may not be able to find him! Good fun…….
Marco”s dash uses his original speedo & heat/AC controls but replaces and also adding vacuum, trans temp and the FiTech monitor panel. It has a black textured bezel and DIN radio hole. Cost for materials is less than a Mac Dash but labor is a bit more So whatever it looks neat.
No boost or fuel selector switches, FiTech needs “no stinken fuel switch and with our battery switching with a “combine” switch and the concept to 1 electrical system unless the driver isn’t in command…….I know its a different way to look at things but unless someone knowledgeable is you MAY want to isolate your starting battery or maybe a living area meltdown but that’s when you open the combine switch….when you need to 1 sealed marine switch for the engine battery, 1 for the living area and 1 to combine them together. With these 3 switches you can direct use and charging where it’s needed.
Took Larry over to Dixie Plywood to pick up some Aviniteand yes, that 12′ slab of solid surface loads and travels nice in Larry. I also test drove one of the new Co-op work safety shirts……can you see me?
he.g., I’m ready for work on the count road crew!
S 2 boxes of nasy for ya donuts….but the chocolate ones are so goodddddd! Christmas lunch for everyone coming if Ada can brave I-4 on what the weather guy said is the worst morning of the YEAR for us! “God Speed John Glenn”
Phillip was able to drag the big mold we picked up with our mere mortal fork liftRrally….we appreciate help getting these molds back working. A $50 T-shirt is not a deal but helping out AND supporting us by wearing our “colors” means something….at least it does to me. Hey, I’ll sign your shirt if you like…… Hey, whatever, thanks for your visit today and your support. I’m sure I’ll be posting during the holiday….you know me!!!! But of course we too will be in the holiday and I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas
Gotcha Phillip! He hates me to take pics of him! See u guys later…….
Good day. I noticed the revcon in the 2nd and fifth photos posted on this blog. I do like the GMC Motorhomes, but since my wife and I have two revcons, that’s where most of my attention goes.
Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year.
