Guys, carry a carb filter, a 1″ and a 5/8″ line wrench in your coach…. and know how to use them! On the road report from Nic piloting “Sundae” north….. Running like a snotty nose, the coach is functioning within acceptable perameters” as Data would say except @ 200 miles out he started experiencing classic vapor lock issues…. The Aux. fuel pump countermeasure worked but soon it got to the point it too only gave temporary success. Using what I call a scientific method we tried each branch to see if we could touch the problem. Process of elimination of vapor lock, then tank venting… I mean we DID put everything in…. “new”…. I finally instructed Apollo 13 crew member Nic to replace the carb filter which he had on board. It was clogged!!!!! WWWWaaaaattttttt! He picked up a bad load of fuel somewhere from Orlando to Ga. or somewhere because his carb filter was filled with silty sand. That filter is the finest filter in the system so stuff that hits it has already been filtered down to 10 microns… it being 5 microns that’s the last defense, it did it’s job but it shouldn’t have needed to.
OK, lets get back to the program already in play….
Yes, yesterday was one of those to remember… Hey did you know that Switzerland is right next to the UK? Well it is here! Coach on the right is Andy”s “Rock the Alps” going into his paint process with Cedric’s “Ruby” hitting the light of day for the first time…. Cedric lives in the UK….. Yes, Ruby is not under power… the fork lift is pulling her but she has one of the 6.5 turbo-diesel “Manny Motors” . It’s installed in the hole and running under testing but not alive yet….. Ruby is coming out of surgery still under sedation!
Here is Ruby
Man, now THAT’S ruby slipper red! And talk about a straight corner transition line!
Now that’s what I’m talkin bout! Beautiful guys…. That’s always the hard spot in the layout.
The back corners are trick too…… So out of that process, Ruby takes it’s barber chair up in the big building
Now so now the fun begins for Ruby.
Another reason to red letter this day…. Fandango’s awnings got installed You might say “what awning?” Look at and angle
Yes, a black Zip Dee awning with all hardware powder coated black.
and with those on…. there was nothing to stand in the way of …….baby’s first bath
This is when the windows got cleaned… all the dust over the months off and wham! I’ve got an awesome looking 23′ coach in my building! The name is “Fandango”
Now a final punch list and a short mechanicals punch list will put this coach up on the delivery runway…… stay tuned..
Now you will be hearing about “Rock the Alps” more. This coach belongs to Andy who lives with his family in Switzerland. The plan is to keep rock-the-alps here with us in the staes having a great machine to see the USA. They’re coming in soon so let’s get rockin on the Alps….
Thanks for dropping by… Jerry P., sorry for being late on your agreed evaluation… I’ll get on it… but dang… paperwork when we’re havin so much fun….. Ahhhhh hang with me.
We have a big ole Airstream trailer coming in today… yeah, we do those too and another mechanical evaluation is done so another coach will line up in the mechanicals line. And the beat goes on…….. See ya.
