The Co-op: Ruby gets overheads……..

After finishing their manufacture, the 5 overhead cabinets are fitted in place and secured.  2 sides and a rear cross cabinet in the rearand in the front, a galley and a drive side foreward Oh and Cedric, you can see you recessed induction cooktop in that Avonite galley countertop.  Seating is fitted …..hey, just to be sure.  This is a rare “flip” sofa used in some of the early 73 coaches.  As a sofa it seems a mere mortalbut pull the tip back forward and it transformsto a bed in 1 motionand because the early dinette stall was a bit less than a awesome design we’re installing late model sprung steel dinette seatingthe driver and passenger seats are in and no, that’s not where the Quesenart microwave/convection oven/grill is going! Duhhhhhh….it will go in one of the galley cabinetsand there’s more to come……stay tuned …..

So with the new motorized 7″ monitor screen “smart radio” installed I pieced the restored dash I did 18 years agoif u zoom in on the deployed screen you can see I’m playing Pandora from my phone via blue tooth throughout the sound system……pretty cool, just like the few fancy cars…..and of course this means any sound from your phone…..Google…..cell phone calls…..a pod cast……whatever.  A very cool new auto-sound feature and a great reason to get one of theseor another new radio like it………better living thru technology and all that…….So with putting in enough fuel to get to the gas station we start the checkout procedure on all the things we’ve done to “Tail Gator” since it was repurchasedSTay tuned.

And finally a skunk works report:

The “Toro-sauras” is one step closer to the road.  Its rear adjustable air suspension it holding the weight and its resting on all 44’spictured above in the down position the Firestone/ Blisteen air bag and shock composite does the jobtthese shock towers were fabricated using suspension parts from the 78 Ford pu were buildingAanyway, soon we ride…..stay tuned…..

44 degrees this morning, looks like I have an air leak on 1 side when it gets cold on Larry.Seals shrink in the cold and air wanting out…….it finds a way.  Don’t be upset or surprised if this happens to your coach……betcha by noon it will hold just fine.

Ok, gotta go….I’m installing a new dash in Baby Blue…….see ya tomorrow...
