Man can’t live by the grindstone alone, I’ve had some ask what I do between work, sleep, eat and well go again….. here is a non GMC weekend with Janie but again it does pertain at least to me because I have been swamped with striessiess……. of work before. I know that may be hard to believe….chuuuu but man after 20 years of this….sounds like a prison sentence like THAT….. it hasn’t but it has been a wild ride……. but that’s a million other stories……

Touted by Captain Kangaroo himself as the standard which all young persons bicycle should be judged……. I remember watching him roll that bike onto stage with that goofy suit on and hair now looking like mine and talking about how safe and well built that bike was…welded joints and when you backed the bike up the pedals didn’t move! I lusted after one…. but then I settled on a 3 speed English racer and never looked back. Well look at it today, this thing is back in vogue 
I was at the beach place this weekend, Janie planned another one of those getaway weekends….. looking in the garage I found my Mom’s Hollywood! She never rode it…. I know, I was there! The Doc said she needed to get out, my Dad bought it and it only moved a few miles. It was sitting there so I had to do something…. I cleaned it up and took a ride! What can I say, it was there and needed my help….. the rest of it was done……
What can I say, when you live in Florida and you wanna get away cheap…. you go to the beach….. well some do, there’s so many things to do in Florida…I bet you say that about where you live and it’s probably true…. isn’t America great about that?
So anyway, the last upgrade covering the fact that the front of my Suzuki was knocked off, this lights set it off 
Gotta look hard and doesn’t it look menacing? Silly but with 479,000 miles on it should I buy a new grill…. that may not fit anymore? I mean the book says it’s worth nothing…. hey but not in MY book it’s priceless! I get that way about anything that drives …. I like driving… anything. Yep another one of those free spirit stupid Americans……. blowing fossil fuel “Life is more that MPG”

See the GMC Motorhome is one piece in the puzzle, an important one for sure but it’s a lifestyle……
We’re out of the bufont, cigarette smoker, slick down age…. we made it!!! and now it’s about so much more…… maybe it a little bit of everything like Forest Gump pointed out but I think more of us are starting to get it.
Living in a motorhome has a smaller carbon footprint than maintaining a house…. if you wanted to live in it…. many do and I have to say to the up and coming GMC enthusiast “For those about to Rock” you are going to have a great deal of fun….. not wasting but we can still use Americas highway system to help us get that free thing going on….. we all know that’s a myth… we all have to be tied somewhere…. hey maybe not but in this age you can if you want to try… and a GMC we call “The cheapest Toy in the Box”!
I feel you have done well looking at having a 40 year old motorhome be your centpiece for fun…. others think you’re nut…… my banker is one! “You make money at this?” well not so much but we have a great time and in the end isn’t THAT what we want to have? So relax, it will cost a little but man, there’s nothing like driving a good looking, together GMC…… along with every other rolling machine I’ve ever driver…. Man, I love driving these things!
A great weekend flows into another great week at the shop…. Ruby’s AC will be front and center and it looks like we may be installing Ruby’s removeable front and rear cap headliner…. stay tuned and hey, thanks for dropping y…….
By the way…. the pics on the bike and Suzuki were taken at our beach place at Ormond by the Sea. If you are interested in a weeks vacation this winter in Florida, give me a call. We’re scheduling the place out…. a 1 beer walk to: US post office, donut shop, pizza place, Publix, Bells Outlet, Dollar Store, Microbrewery and oh yeah… the beach! It’s a place that makes me happy…. come on down and stay in Florida with your motorhome or without……..
