The Co-op: More on yesterday……….

There seems to me there IS a recovery time for me after several days doing stuff like watching boats on the Intercoastal Waterway  and no, that’s not MY dock……well maybe yes, it’s 1 of the many public access areas along what is called “The Volusia Loop”, a 35 or so mile loop from Hwy. 40 and back that goes though 50’s era tree covered 2 lane roads through undeveloped Florida scenery.  Well, just off earshot are big ole homes but at least they have saved some of the beauty for us mere mortals.  But it ain’t a bad veiw down the dune from A1A from the beach looking back where Janies place is. So I bored you with all of that to say it took me a day to get over all of that…..thank goodness there’s work to help me recover!

And changing Baby Blues diapers. His Mom and Dad didn’t know he was packin till we saw a leak at the securing straps on the bottom.  Guys, good decision to give that original holding tank a gold watchnit only had the bottom of the tank was getting soggy but the real fun was on the top in deteriorated fittingsyou may have never known it until that chilli contest that didn’t agree with ya!  Hey, what’s the 1/2 life of a Roto molded polypropoline holding tank?  Bout now!  As plastics deteriorate the compound shrinks putting stress to the edges and openings.  And no matter how nice your coach is and how well you keep it maintained…….plastic tanks will at some time wear out …..and how does something like a tank DO when it wears out?  Yep, it cracks.  Fixing something like this postpones the inevitable cause it will continue to stress crack.

So the new Roto molded poly tank has 45 years to stay on duty……..So this project got the whole crew back to work mode!  More than just a swap out, Baby Blue has a custom plumbing layout so new holes will have to go inHey, it’s nothin but a thing so that should go in today.

Fandango is getting its replumbed fuel tanks back in as part of its FiTech fuel injection projectThe delivery lines are upgraded to hi pressure stuff and a return along with crossovers are plumbed in taking out all the old tanks switching.a.nd BTW, a new fuel gauge sender.

Went by Mikes new place…that’s my machinist……to see progress on the intake for Tail Gatora.nd the same as the more concave 455 intakes there’s a crack between the secondary ports on this 403 intakewe should get that back to keep going in Fandango’s FiTech fuel injection install.

I pulled off Marco’s steering wheel today to install the new cruise control turn signalcontrolaland just like the last turn signal cancell switch I dealt with it too had its attaching plastic threaded hole cracked upThear are issues that took 45 years to occur similar to the deteriorated holding tank plastic.  All plastics shrink as they get old.

So yeah, this morning I’m successfully reprogrammed myself to get-r-done at the shop.  Stay tuned as more flows downt the pipe!…….
