The Co-op: More musical chairs in the Q……..

An open lift means something is going on, yesterday, Phillip and company rocked hard and got Chris FiTech final install and fire up done AND got his new single fuel tank installed.  Now back in the big house, the guys will finish up the projectHe’s already got his new 16″ rims and tires AND his quad bag system is installed.  This was the coach that got the “tankless” air ride system and primary battery switching tooand the switchingOn the lift next is a long awaited drive train swap.  Last year on what was going to be the last trip for the drive train……the owners knew everything was getting weak…… Everything is working good…..til it isn’t and this soldier couldn’t make the last muster and the breakdown made the decision completeThe coach had been well kept by its steward but just timed out and spun an original crank bearing.  Had nothing to do with its maintenance my guess looking at how clean everything is kepti guess the song holds true….”To everything….there is a season…turn turn…..”  And its understood if we’re going through all of this after so long good performance the only way to do this is complete.  So stand by 1…….this machine is about to come apart!  Prep the operating table, the patient is ready………

Another interesting project:  Preparing this coach for its new life overseas, propane and all AC appliances are being removed. The interior main woodgrain color is being repaired then refinished in a new way.we will be “wrapping” the interior bulkhead walls just as you would the exterior of a car for advertising.  We’re having the light color woodgrain from the early coach interior reproduced then the interior gets taken apart and wrapped!  Yep…..we tried this in another medium which came out well but pretty labor intensive……along the same concept but with the vinyl wrap medium, labor may now get effected……stay tuned and lets see……….Chris new FiTech learning where earth is…..cool……the cool part or the new thing here is this 455 motor is fitted with an aftermarket (tall) intake manifold.  The object was to retain that plus add the fuel injection making a useful “doghouse” to clear the huge intake!  How’d we do.Insulated and carpeted around, hey…..we always have SOMETHING to hold the cups!  Anyway, this motor is really working well with the hi rise and who am I to screw that up.  The new steward has downsized from his Wanderlodge so he understand the meaning of doing things right.  Not the first time we’ve built a doghouse like this, it sure does answer several issues…….but a flat floor IS nice if you can afford it but hey, this works too.  I mean LOOK at that awesome motorSo yea, it’s a good option…maybe ……but…..

So yeah, you may wanna reread today’s fodder, there’s a pile of neat thing going on and of boy, we get to yank the bowls out of another soldier to make him stronger…..better…..yeah, what he said!

So with El back guarding our compound I feel safe……….from anyone who can’t be licked to death!  But she is on duty doing her job……..see ya tomorrow……
