We’ll get to some fun stuff going around but first I just wanted to let Armin to know his paint job made it to Florida and of course Jared & Phillip (my FiTech gurus) were all over your big model FiTech system you installed….BTW, the coach road like a Falcon 9 all the way from west to east coast
Armin called me some time back and said he wanted to know first person why he would never want to paint a motorhome again……. he followed the steps, did a talk about what it took….did say he would probably never do it again but as you can see it came out pretty nice. Godd job man! I’mm gonna get the door to shut a little better and we’re getting a little excessive tire where on the passenger middle wheel…..you know the “curb cracker wheel”.
So back in my world, the guys finally got meside panels and glove boxes textured and ready to go in The glove box to the right is from Texas Tux, a 1976 all metal glove box assembly (style 2), the one in the foreground is the (style 1) pretty rare odd plastic assembly. I say odd in that I don’t thing GM was over the moon with the style 1 having the 3 support bars actually taking the brunt of the hinge weight are all 3 have a wooden block captured by plastic! I can hear the engineer still, “Hey Scooter, can we make those blocks out of hard wood next time?”
The 1977-78 models have a totally different (style 3) assembly that actually worked pretty good and gave space to the type 3 dash AC vent system that actually worked…. a little better but well not anything like what we have now!
After the relief of Ron seeing his baby running again yesterday with all that new FiTech stuff perched up there we’re rounding the corner on this 23′ coach getting back on the superslab but before that my tag team rear brake and bearing duo went after installing our new 2 wheel Ebrake system While it’s true Kenny is a fast learner I think for now we’ll let Katlyn do most of the work….. hey and it’s so nice to see neat where she works Coming in this morning before dawn, it was great to mozy over to see the coach plugging ther hole in the big house…which means it’s next out. With the Ebrake now actually working, Phillip will attempt to hit all 3 forward gears, make sure no body fluids are escaping and this puppy will be ready for a real shakedown. Too bad it’s Easter this weekend but if the test drive goes well this morning we will be doing more indepth testing on Monday….stay tuned and if I’m not mistaken we’re looking for Ron to fly in and help us with his shakedown….guys, now THAT’S the right way to do this….I mean you need to get reacquainted to your new motor and like any toddler, you both need to work together…….stay tuned..
OK, it’s 8am and the morning meet will begin shortly…… the guys may start showing up earlier to beat the heat this summer. I’ve tried to get the guys to do this for years…..Jared finally has them thinking bout that….fantastic………see you on page 2 of todays pose a little later today….. stay tuned……..
