Let me start the new year with an admission and a suggestion. I am terrible on social network stuff. If you’re like me and closing in on old fart world, I try and stay on a narrow path so I don’t screw up. I have all of you guys trying to throw thing at me all on your own path….things are falling through huge cracks in my communication floor. If you had sent me a comment and never got a response…….I never saw it!
For some reason, Ada our office head has been willing to monitor my Emails for questions and I try to keep up with a couple of Facebook sites but man I’m flying blind in the rest of it! So if u would like to hit me with a comment…..question….explanation….gripe or whatever for now just Email me until further notice because my New Years resolution is to communicate better.
This holiday has been a great way to end a really exciting year for The Co-op. We took custody of 450,000 pounds of chrome plated steel molds that made the plastic outer body parts of our coaches.Above are the 2 sides of the mold for the lower grill valence with 1 original part…….we’re hoping through modern processes to make new parts without to 100ton oil heated press that these molds used! Stay tuned for more………As far as new things this year, we’ve pretty much decided these new real time, active fuel injection systems are an important “adapter” to the new fuel formulations we are forced to useIf you want to learn more now because sooner or later you will….we have experience with FiTech systems though many other systems are out there. Its not the brand as much as the learning, real time reaction the new systems offer. Any do system that takes a chip or has to be set up on a dyno is old technology! Hey, I still run a carb on “Larry” but “JayGee” has already defected and injected……….the fuels today are designed to be pressurized then mechanically atomized thru and injector. Misting fuel to aid in normal chemical atomization no longer works well. Has nothing to do with anything other than were burning different “Koolaid” than before……learn more……
The last few motors have proven their worth on our trusty Toro clip run in standnext year marks the beginning of an all new…..fun way to prove out a fresh drive trainThe GMC front frame clip mated to a 1976 Mercedes SL450 with its trunk lopped off will really check out a drive train…….and be a hoot for a ride! Stay tuned on this 1 too…….
This year, we have entered into an agreement with Monster Transmissions (look them up) to produce custom built transmissions specific to pulling 12,000 pounds reliably. You too can buy from them this unique transmission. This is what’s needed today.
So yeah, it’s been a pretty busy year and there’s so much more….and more coming for 2019……..there’s enough political and economic Crap going on out there….I wanna kinda have a place like “Marwin” for us GMC devotes to escape to next year…….
I’m so fortunate to be surrounded by truly talented folks doing neat things but you see it takes crazy people like us to band together for stuffand other stuff.and more junk all fun as heck…..its been an incredible journey for me and I appreciate all of those I have met and worked with along the way………..this place is for you….slancha …..And it continues…….I hope for 2019 the very best for you and everything you are and do…..Namasta…..and I hope the best for what the “Co-op” is trying to do.
If you wanna help, call Shirley or Ada at the shop (407.857.5777) and pick up one of our new “Co-op work shirt” and help say thanks for all this and I’ll say thanks right back to ya.in washed out gun metal grey or safety yellow(batteries not included).letm’ know and I’lll scribble on it if you like. Hey, $50 is a bunch for a T-shirt even if it DOES have a pocket but if you’re reading this it could be called entertainment so hey…..I’ll do better next year….boy, a tough audience….. Anyway….this page is here as a way to keep our customers in with what’s going on with their machine and feel a part of what it is to do this sort of stuff. If you come to live vicariously through watching us hey that’s fine too. I hope this year to do more instructional videos, watch for that and I hope to get out more to rallies next year. I’ve been shackled to the growth here at the Co-op. I hope to start off at the GMCMI convention in March….Tallahassee I think is the place. Maybe I’ll see you there.
Thanks for 2018, your support and business, all the guys and I wish you all an awesome 2019….See ya there….
