The Co-op: It’s motortime……………..

We have several coaches getting new drive trains, Ron H. coach is on the operating table (the lift) getting its drive trainfirst thing is the tranny drops out from the bottom with the diff attached All original, it was time.  Next the motor suspended up top on our stand, the motor is slid back where the trans wasturn it 90 degrees with the flywheel down and the ole war horse pops out.On a stand with the mechanical fuel pump off you can feel just how loose that original timing chain really wasWe have a fresh Monster trans bolted up to an Applied 3.55 I think diff and a fresh Drew Koba built roller motor all factory colors……gonna be pretty colorful in Ron’s engine compartmentwe actually have 2 fresh motor, 1 has been run in ready to mate up with the rest of his drive train…..FiTech will go in when all this stuff is installedcHeck out the 72 Revcon in the backgroundafter much updating…..FiTech fuel injection on the Toro drive train in the machine has plenty of rooma fresh Honda EV-6010 generator fit very nice in the original holeand openthe interior with Avonite counter tops, Quisenart micro/ convection/ grill, Euro sink, etc matched real well with the pristine original interiorthe exterior was already restored to the T’scHeck it out, all the 12 volt dc and AC breakers and wiring is inside the rear hatchwould be difficult working on anything in the rain!  Hey but its made it since 1972……..This Revcon has the Toro crate drive train from Oldsmobile but has a single solid drop axle.  Coach is a little higher than a GMC but it’s just got charisma!  Stay tuned, it should deliver soon moving our labor Q forward.

With a little extra time on his hands, we had our upholstery guy rebuild a couple of late model original front seats.

anyone interested they are $350 each……if you want that sort of seat……the guy is good and can refoam and upholstery all of the original seating.  Let me know if you have work I’ve that sort.

Having some folks flying in this morning for the “101” GMC lesson and to see what can be done with a GMC.  I guess from our website they want to learn and see more……..if you too are interested in seeing what all this is about, give us a call, I spend as much time as you wish bringing folks up to speed on these ole things.  There’s a pile to see here so I invite you to set an appointment…..its free.

Ok, its after 8am, I hear the guys out there cutting things so I should get with it too.  Thanks for coming by…….these are really unique machines feel happy you know about them….and if u want to know more…….call me……see ya later
