Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / The Co-op, I’m late…I’m late…..

October 11, 2017

The Co-op, I’m late…I’m late…..

Heck, already 8am, the guys are here and we need to getm going.  Gonna squeeze a few though.

Switching gears in mechanical. The green Lantern is going up on the lift for a pile of mechanicals to include a FiTech fuel injection.  The Hurricane plus some other labor sucking pigs we’ve had to deal with have us running hard here…..  10.110.17 morning 2

BTW, we’re also cranking up on that cool looking Revcon  (yes, a 4 wheeled Revcon) doing it’s mechanicals too.

Don’t tell anyone you saw this Winnebago here at the shop  10.110.17 morning 1  A good friend wants to live in it while he builds his house…. look at it this way, to get out of existing in this thing…. that house should go up fast!   Hey, it actually runs!  No brakes yet but hope springs eternal… as soon as we get the water out of it’s master cylinder!

BTW….. if you arwe looking for a very green good shape Palm Beach…. that on in the pic above has Alcoa Hot Shots (expensive rims), Zip Dee awning and was driven here from Alabama recently.  Hey, $15,000 you can drive a reliable coach home for less than $20,000.  Also here is this 78 Royale rear bath with Alcoas, quad bqg system, replaced frame and one of our paint jobs for $15,000, needs tires and a few things but will drive home for less than $20,000… both reliable and road ready  Lou for sale 13  It’s hard to stay the “piano player” in the room with coaches like these around and folks looking for a quality kept, good coach to build on.  If you really want to get into a GMC, come see me….now see that… I sounds like a salesman……. sorry but somebody has to say something!

Mr. Clean is all but pushed out the door…. having a certified LP tech check the coach, 10.110.17 morning 4 a leak was found in the all but new furnace  10.110.17 morning 3  Ordered in the part and the coach will be rechecked…… see this is why I no londer use Suburban furnaces… these Atwoods are accessed from the outside door…. sure you have a penetration hole but if we had installed an SF30 or any other inside furnace, the sofa would need to come out and new cuss words made to get it out just to find the problem.  In the above pic you can see the furnace door off with all components and test points available.  That’s nice…….

So the beat goes on….. we have stuff a happenin….. things to do and places to be……. hey better late than not…. thanks for waiting for me to plunk here and we’ll see ya tomorrow…….
