THIS……is the real trauma of birthing a restoration like Ruby. We’ve been through so much but the first time I saw Ruby with her teeth in well………I was in love
the guys scattered as Ruby fired that diesel mother up for its future back alivePPhillip being our resident diesel guy was the logical one…..and you know someone had to do it……so out the gate and on the way home to St. cloud Ruby and Phillip went into the eveningThis is a going on 4 year project that just drove out of the gate……. I think I’ve got the big one!!!!!!! THIS is a classic certified baddass machineand if Phillip comes in tomorrow morning riding Ruby…..she just might be in Talahassee!
Ok, tomorrow morning its charging Fandango’s dash AC system with Senden compressor, it’s new owner is flying in tomorrow…….no pressure! Stay tuned on how that goes. Its getting down to the wire and we’re all starting to feel the impact. We’re making plans for Terry to take care of “L” and tomorrow is pack day. If you need me, make it quick…..we are on a mission. I’m posting this in the pm anticipating tomorrow. I may have time to post……we’ll see.
So if you’re coming its going to be something. Thursday’s convoy of something like 6 coaches is going to be interesting. Lets see…..that’s at least 44 tires including Ralph and the trailer with Mutsades on its back. That’s 12 electrical systems and batteries…..24 rear wheel bearing sets, 6 alternator and starters……… 48 Pistons, 96 valves and 36 quarts of oil all needing to rise to the occasion! WHAT could go wrong!I. think I showed this pic before but dang if Ruby’s horn button stand out! The right side of the dash is off…..time for that fun tomorrow…….Now we have a hole in the big house where Ruby once stoodi already miss her…….Hey, it’s time and like I said if dawn comes and Ruby rises we will have a convoy!
I’ll see how the day goes……The convoy leaves to arrive Thursday evening…….if you are already in Talahassee….be ready to foam the runway! Hope to talk to ya soon……..
