The Co-op: Dustless paint removal.

In an effort to look into new processes, here is a new one…..”Dustless blasting.   A friend of Jared just bought in on this new process and brought it over to give it a try.  It sprays done environmentally is media with hi pressure water.  First a couple of things, the coach is completely stripped inside and out so there is nothing water would hurt.  The floor is now plastic “Starboard”   So blasting like this is no problem.  The issue with this form of surface plep on our aluminum and plastic is difficult to figure out how to use the process.  This first pass left the expected blotchness.   I will say though is did take off mainly 1 layer of paint and damaged area were brought to a working level.  We’ll look further into this.  The goal is a more cost effective way to remove old paint……stay tuned.

Should b a good week.  This Airstream interior restoration is drawing to an end.  which bring everyone in the Q one step closer.  This Airstream pop-top is bout ready to go too.   Another fresh 455 roller motor is in its new home . Next the Monster granny has gotten it’s diff. and is ready for its instal….wider if the colors will clash.   Hey, not a problem, it all means this is a badass drive train . Kaitlyn is the installer on this project.  Bing-bang ant it’s in…..I like it!    you can also see the gold “Thor” torque converter thru the inspection hole in the bell housing.  New modulator WITH a new molded vacuum inlet tube.  Nice detail….that ×÷#;&*€£ rubber hose causes shift issues if it swells and bypasses vacuum!  With FiTech fuel injection I can’t wait to hit 3 gears!

Much more going on so come back this week to see more.  I see from the daily numbers on this page u guys have gotten used to our 4 day work schedule.  I think I’ll toss in some goodies on those other 3 days to give us something to look at….I’ll try that next Friday…….Thanks for dropping by today and thanks for your support……see ya soon
