The Co-op: Don’t come to Florida to get warm………..

Its nowhere like have no temperature (that’s a – number but feels like 36 degrees in Florida, brother its cold for us!  Good thing Volvo have really good heatersso yeah, I’m here…cold and all….long johns on……we all hope to survive.  You guys up north chose to be in cold places, I didn’t!

Ok, that’s out, hoping for a good week, we need it.  We all should feel for those not getting paid to go along with this depressing weather, hang in there guys.

Did some finals on the Ikea kitchen this weekend
Janie and I hope to do a run this coming weekend…..I made sure the generator, furnace and the AC heat strip all worked.  Admiditly a galley like this isn’t for everyone having the decor a restaurant kitchen but hey, it works for us.

Replacing the sealant under the top rails on Tail Gator we a very needed thing.  18 years ago, none of us knew the importance of replacing the torch machine screw with new machine screws in this application important.

Being drilled and tapped into the hollow extruded top rail structure, those sheet metal screws allow water to get in as the sealant fails.  We refilled and tapped to 1/4x 20 holes for larger screws to bite and sealhere you see the 3 beads of Bond-n-Seal we use to replace the old sealant.  We saved a little time shifting up the ZipDee awning to get to the rail.

Here is the driver side sealed and back together This is a “seal system” that needs to be renewed.  If you have pesky water leaks and have not resealed your rails…..and it does little long term use to seal the rail from the outside…..that rail needs sealant under that cosmetic, protective cover rail..Thats the area under the cap before sealant is applied……

The final test drive for Baby Blue went perfect

A little nostalgia here, Baby Blue, a very early 1973 model, it sports the original Bargman entry door latch that supposedly never made it to production…….further proof our first year coaches were like a box of chocolates as Forest Gump once said…..you never know whatca got!   A terrible pic of the new dash it really looks clean and super functional

Ron’s mechanical restoration is coming along well..well picked up the cleaned and magnafluxed intake manifold from Mike to fix the overheated and cracked intake issue.Mmotors don’t care about the cold, the intake should go in todayAn unexpected result, we’ll have to add an electric water pump to our Mercedes motor stand……plumbing the radiator at the front of the car there not right pressure from the mechanical water pump to get the hot water thru the system…….figures!.Just one more thing to overcome.

And here I didn’t know if I would have enough pics to post this morning….guess last week WAS a pretty productive time…..hopes for that again.

Listen, I can see from my hit counter we have an average of @ 1000 of you reading this each day…….I’m assuming from that you are enjoying me taking an hour or so each day to post all of this……do me a favor, let me know if there’s something special you would like to see here on one of our new videos.  I need subjects……please let me hear from ya.

See ya tomorrow, thanks for the visit and your support…..if you feel I’m wasting my time please let me know that too……………
