By now you’ve probably gotten tired of looking at Sport Billy. I know … we get used to fantastic things and before long it’s nothing special. Sport Billy IS something special. 5 years ago, it represented everything I could throw at a GMC resoration for someone looking for a party wagon. Now after adding full color twinkies over the windows and a train air horn I mean…. What else can we do?
He gets a wash job first thing so it’s bout as cool looking as it can be for Adrian. This is his first GMC so we have a big job today getting him flight ready. He and his detailer are flying in from New York this morning and will be with us tonight for a crash course in the coach. I mean 9 remotes….. running everything from the awning to the pleated shades and the AV system…. there will be a test after THESE lessons!
The quad bafgg system goes on Bill D. today after the guys paint up the bogys with POR-15, the liners are already blacked out Being our next delivery the guys are on it like ants on that proverbial cake. This again is a coach that will end up way over the top… in the same class as Sport Billy. These are machines we can do and folks want this so brother you got it! Of course we also work with more modest coaches but you need to do cool stuff to do a good job on the rest..
Gotta go… it’s a big day for us….. after this delivery I think I can say we are in our “pocket”. Work is in process on 5 other coaches as we speak… guys are on task and man, does this feel good! You guys at Coos Bay got a great live shot of the shop from this view Hey, Manny isn’t here right now… sorry this was just a pic I had of him when he WAS here… Oops… Hey, there’s Manny… see we’re all getting in the program! And just in front of him is the “screw Abyss” where all good screws go that can’t get back to their bins. I mean what DO you do with all those boxes of left over screws? All of ours are captured in the screw abyss…. need a special screw, go to the abyss…..
OK, see ya tomorrow…. I’ll take pics today….
