The Co-op, Cleanup day

We’ve been pushing for so long it was time…. we had to clean up so bringing in the dumpster with the fork lift made it a little easier  5.23.17 1  We brought into the big house one of the 79 Ford pickups we’re putting together after getting the body work and sanding done and the interior and door jams painted and cleared 5.23.17 2  I made it over to the machinist where a very special motor is close to ready for assembly.  350-in-hole-7  From our skunkworks this is a 350 block punched 40 over, it and these parts will built into a very special motor 350-in-hole-6  we’re looking to fool a 350 it’s a 455 up to 60 mph.  There’s been talk about this…. in the 70’s motorhomes were built with 318 Mopar in them….. sure they weren’t barn burners but they did travel and performance was acceptable.  Today we’re a little smarter in our driving and technology has brought us many things that simply were not available back then….. lets see what happens plus we have a surprise on the transmission which will have a 4th gear (overdrive).  How?  Stay tuned… for the motor and the trans…..

Here’s another skunkworks project, proper offset 17″ rims!.

5.23.17 4  Just beginning in availability aftermarket 17″ rims are popping up.  These have the same offset as our Alcoa spec. and after true and balance 5.23.17 6  Are being shipped to a good friend in Baton Rouge who I promised would get the first set 5.23.17 3 Ada G. has them packaged up, paperwork done for a truck to pick them up today.  Hey, tryin more stuff…..

Ok, breakfast is waiting…. see ya tomorrow…..

That 350 should be painted gold like a proper Rocket 350 😉
