The Co-op: Breaker…Breaker…..can you pick up my transmission………

With the guys working so hard one of the jobs I took on as ” the old guy who can’t do much”……hey, I’ll take that……..is trying to keep our customers up to date on what’s happening here…..at least they can gauge progress and we can use it as communication……it works pretty good.

But another reason I blow an hour or more doing this each time is to try and help you guys who want to do this stuff yourself how to get the most out of the project and maybe bring up things you never considered.

Such a project I’ve been plunking a bunch about is replacing window rubbers, sealing and repainting the frames.  I’m sure it was boring for some but I took that risk to really show how to do a good job of it.  I have had some call and get a care package of pieces parts to do the job……thank you and good luck on it…..call if u have troubles ………and then I go up on Facebook and have seen 2 people who have really put in a pile of work restoring the frames but not sealing the frame to the body at the same.  Also papering the glass……clean the Windows when you’re done with a razor blade and soap to finish off the project and the entire window will look sharp!  Guys, help these folks out!  I don’t wanna come in and burst their bubbles cause they are working really hard and are proud of their progress……hey I respect that but man they don’t have to go thru all that and chances are the window will still leak when they’re done.  Energy is so precious to me I hate to see waste.

Its covered with dew this morning but this is a properly restored window…..rubbers, painted frame and sealedand here’s a closeup of the painted rubber (to protect it from shrinking), painted frame and window frame sealed to the body done all in 1 steptotal labor time to do all that is @ 1.5 hours per window complete.  A complete coach COULD be done with 1 guy….really tired at the end with sore thumbs but that’s the job.  Please, if you want to do this yourself….great but do it well and right.

Am I being too whatever?  I just want to help so when you see someone doing wrong stuff say something……ill let u guys handle this one, I’m too close.

So Eleganza like a rough rundown then be a footrest

What a solid bogy!  So the morning has begun, I have our fuel tank lab rat to do a final drive test, found a new place to get hi quality throttle and shift cables custom made……..that’s gonna be fun and the rest of the beat goes on…..see ya another time
