As I’ve explained before, this daily page was primarily designed to give customers a feeling of how their projects are progressing. Keeps folks from having to call all the time for updates. To that end, I want to give a few folks some on how their stuff is progressing. Sometime other projects suck the oxygen from others if you follow this daily. That’s not the case in the real world around here, several project are moving, I just don’t get to them all……like bringing back Ron’s recent purchase back to the road. This was a proud Royale twin bed that has found a new, excited steward and he can’t wait to get it reliable. It has been a long wait in our “Q” but we’re finally on taskthose 2 brown boxes weight 54 pounds each, they are the new quad bag rear suspension Mic is installing
as you can see the install can be done on the ground without troubles. We find it takes 6 hours to install both sides with a little extra time for air line plumbing. The end of the day and we have success
That and new KYB shocks, the brakes had been done when Ron had picked it up we carefully inspected them to be as sure as we can without doing it ourselves. From hover mode undercarriage work can also be done. Stay tuned for more on this project
On to more on Tail Gator, getting the coach cleaned out of all the “stuff” we could see more what we need to do. The 18 year old Honda EV-6010 came out for its wake-up procedure. Over years carbs get gummed up, dirt dobbers love to lay eggs clogging up tubes so first thing is to really look over and repair any damage. Surprise, we found remnants of termites…..yes termites in a coach that spent 16 years in a concrete floor warehouse! Seems it was mainly in the front sofas so re removed all and rebuild the sofa bases……..
this morning it’s all back together less the bad wood
Its already 8am, I need to makes some parts runs, the morning meeting has the guys pointed in their direction so I need to do my part. I have some more updating to do so visit again this afternoon……see ya then ..
/////////////// UPDATE. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Tail gators Honda generator out, after maybe a decade of non use Rumplestilkskin needs to wake up slowly
after a carb field strip and clean out, oil dump, spark plugs and the love shows to these Hondas Phillip and Jarde have for them….he wakes up
kinda loud without a muffler but we want to know things are good before reinstalling it. This family of 4 will rely on the power this thing provides as they tour the country. This is why a good generator is so important. A bonus for this coach it already HAS a good unit, we just needed to wake it up easy. If you can find a Honda EV-6010 I would buy it. Get with Paul at Pinellas Power Products (Google him) and put one of these in your coach. Yeah, that ole On An is cute and may be hanging in there……….I’d still change it out, a 45 year old generator is not a reliable situation normally. This project is getting closer to the door.
Fandango came off the lift yesterday……..So what’s next Jared? Fandango got its new FiTech fuel injection then on the ground the sound insulation and new carpet went in.
this morning I can give you a look at the FiTech system on the 403 motor
even with the 3″ pipe to a cone style K&N filter all fit under the flat floor
This is not the only learning fuel injection systems out there and all seem to have good results…..the big thing is the new learning, engine management system. The older chipped systems don’t qualify.
Wanted to answer a question someone asked……yes, all 6 wheels are air ride
The front suspension will adjust @ 4-5″. This coach should be at the upcoming GMCMI convention, the interior is also something special.
Yep, he’s a cheesehead! Makes sense.
..To each his own……….
Ok, enough for today, have an important one about our neutral safety switch…..something for tomorrow……..see ya then….
